  • Where can I get the COMPILED version of quake-life?

Hi! Im new here and I read the topic about quake-life source but I cant find the binary of it. Can someone please give me a link?

Being that there is no official release yet, you need to compile it using the latest FTEQCC, which can be downloaded somewhere here. Also having an up-to-date build of FTE helps too. I haven't gotten to adding full DarkPlaces support yet, as it lacks one small yet essential feature that I need. At any rate, have fun!

Thanks! BTW does it have Zquake support because I have Zquake ported to my PDA?

You can't use ZQuake with Quake-Life; the progs.dat is very dependent on FTEQW type of functionality that no other engines have.

/99% confident this is the case

It's even worse, there are two zquakes:
MetaViewSoft - ZQuake (the one for Palm)
            ZQuake news (The QW one)

I can overbid Baker by saying that I am 100% sure that the Palm ZQuake cannot run Quakelife.

The palm version of zquake will probably not load half-life maps. If it did, though, if nothing crashed you would get limited functionality. This mod was designed with modern quakeworld engines in mind (ezquake, fte, and even fuh). Later on I tweaked some things to make it function in DP, but that is rather limited at the moment. If you want to run it for all it's worth, you need a newer build of FTEQWSV.

Also the progs.dat compiles wherever you tell it to in progs.src

                Ah, ok ...

Avirox, this ZQuake he is using on the Palm isn't related to ZQuake the Quakeworld client at all. It's some WinQuake port to the Palm.

Sigh --- when 2 things use the same name ...
