  • Where can I find a working Map Editor for Vanilla Quake?

    Im still new to mapping im improveing in my maps on the Doom scene but I wanna try map for Quake.. anyone know a good user freindly Map editor for Quake 1? I dont have any of Quakes expansions so it will have to be for Quake 1 vanilla.. I know ppl make their own maps for Quake and I wanna try do it as well.

      I like this one alot BSP Headquarters
      but WorldCraft, and Quark are good as well.

        As far as user friendly, and ease to get going your best bet is Worldcraft.

          no brush icon in my worldcraft.. have i done somethong wrong? i downloaded the quake adapter etc etc

            By default, I think, the buttons used to work on brushes are on the right. The tooltip refers to it as a block tool. You select basic shapes from primitives category. Just draw your cube on the grid and hit ENTER to move it to the world.

            The block tool is the grey cube.

              ah! yes! thats what I was doing wrong thanks for the help. I was looking for the brush tool like the tutorial said but it must of meant the block tool.. thx for that.
