Aw come on now.. First, there is no need for all of that. Second, because he tends to impersonate people to try and get a game.. Not really a big deal. You should be aware of the people you play with and their IP addresses. You're fault if you felt you were "done wrong." Third.. Hear the dude out if he reads all of this and makes an earnest attempt at connecting you..

If you still feel the same way.. after.. It's his problem.

I don't recall him making a "monkey of us" to begin with. Everyone knew what he was pretty much.. Aside from his impersonating people and annoying antics at servers... whether it be spamming, mass joining multiple clients to admin himself.. joining games and leaving, etc.. all things we've dealt with before.. Act's a lot like OC actually.. The thing that screwed him was the obvious botting with disregard for consequences.

I've talked with people within the past two weeks that I've seen playing with him on servers he wasn't banned from.. asked what he was up to.. they said he wasn't botting...

Your issue is that you feel betrayed because he masquerades around as other people.. I know I've witnessed him on names of older players that he is not.. It's annoying, yea.. but you can tell who is really who nowadays.. If you're really that concerned about being "had" by a peon.. Holler at me and I'll explain to you about checking iplogs, etc.

if the guy has shaped up, by all means let him back in, i will ignore him.. as for botting, if he is done with that, thats a big bonus.

They all claim to shape up after they are caught and punished. I dont really play on your guys servers(s) but usually someone like that prefers to hide in their cave, rather than come out openly in a forum like this, take the blame, and tell everyone they mistreated they apologize, and give reasons why they did it....and do it promptly without being led by the hand of other people. If you look at what most of them do, its very common they first try hiding behind other aliases, and changing IP's which are all denial and evasive actions - not confrontational. I say let them run, and leave them to live with their decisions. If you are lenient and they have not really changed, you will wind up with the blame, so make your decision with wisdom. Not sure if the Quake community can take much more of the wrong decisions and hope to see more players come again.

Strangely enough, if you change your IP and alias and actually shape up and don't act like a big enough dick to get you banned, you should be alright. However most people still get caught...
