Dedicated meaning it's always running. No server can actually ever be dedicated as you put it because the computer has to run an operating system too

I'd like it if I can just add the server to the lst file in Qrack and then once I connect to this server it switches to that gamedir. that would be a nice feature, then it'll have that mod switching like quakeworld.

I'm planning on server downtime for a few nights until I get my cpu "set up"
It will still run during the day, I'll only shut down the server when I'm sleeping so my computer can run stability tests. This starts on the 15th (processor scheduled to be delivered that day)

Got my 9600GSO earlier today. I've already finished overclocking it. Flashed the BIOS on the card so the clockspeeds are pemanent. Don't have to worry about that anymore.

Next up is the CPU. It is scheduled to be delieverd on the 15th. My goal with the cpu is 3.0GHz. The chip is 2.7GHz stock, hopefully it'll be doable on stock voltage. Don't worry about stability for the server, I test stability with OCCT Linpack, a stability test so creul half the overclockers on TPU don't even count it as a credible stability test because it's the ONLY test that fails on thier systems.

I am going to end up reformatting to compliment the new processor. The server should be back up tomorrow, although *I* won't be in to play because I'll be busy reinstalling and reconfiguring everyfuckingthing.

ok, well I'll be able to. right now I'm hoping R00k can figure out a way surfer1.mdl will work with base color changing, because for Qrack it doesn't..its just base colors. I will also be making 24-bit textures for those of you who want it. I'll make a PrimeeviL one and my own personal one which is a mix of the old qrack skin and primeevil.

Server is back up now. All I have to do is configure my games and verify that my overclock is stable. I'll run a special test for it tonight after everyone leaves the server (if anyone even shows up in the first place). If it passes the server will return to being up 24/7.
