What if those newbs behind Q-Live remade Quake1 (eeeeeeeek, rockzors!)

QLive came out pretty faithful to Q3,everything from what I have played remained intact and didnt get some homo-style remake. In other words it was pretty obvious they took an older property, put a polish on what was already there and re-marketed for free under the presumptions that ad's would pay for it.

    It isnt that farfetched!

    HMMMM

hmm i don't think going through azure agony in a dm or coop and suddenly happen upon an ad for gum will fit too well :S

They would naturally utilize any assets, including servers already in existance that have a player base. It's not like Q3 has anymore nostalgic fanbase than Q1 at the time that some iD software power player decided to re-make Q3 in web browser, for free. Who would have thought that they would re-released Q3 in any fashion? If anything I would be happy to see Q2 get the same treatment.

as of now they have untapped market in the older Quake series, they brought Q3 back into a cash earning product.

Not if you walked through Azure Agony and found some dead Slipgate Marine hiding in a corner that included a few dirtied, empty packets of gum, though...

It would actually work pretty well- and it would make a bit of sense- you walk into a base- and they have a coke-machine (left from the days when the guards were still real humans)
And you find yourself in a junkyard, and see some empty Dr Pepper cans, and a cracked, flickering advertising screen flicking between a beer add and an evil face (cinematic style)!

I haven't played Quake Live yet but I'm itching to give it a try soon, when I get the time.

I was thinking more, you know, confrontational mod's,as opposed to Vanilla DM / Co-Op. But those would be nice as well, atleast the co-op.

Im not a DM fan but I wouldnt deny the existance of it.
