I burned the soundtrack. You have to make them start at track2 because track1 is never played in the game. And I play quake because it's fun. Stop flaming for your beliefs

I downloaded the demo when I first got my p166 computer, joined mplayer started playing multiplayer w/ 300 ping. I finaly had a friend send me the full version over mIRC in 1997, when I was completely addicted

I like the QUAKE 3 ARENA music better. It has more heavy metal in it.

Don't know how long ago it was for me, but I'm sure it was right when Quake came out. One of my brother's friends came by to help set up our computer and he put Quake and Hexen on it.

Monster - Its fine to like Q3As music better as general music, but it is not metal (distorted guitar is not metal, if thats the case than most every band is metal). Granted it has metal elements but its more electronic-industrial. Its soundtrack does work fairly well for Q3A, but not much else... Quake's soundtrack works brilliantly for it, and I find it to be heavier (track 2, several minutes into track3...) and it carries more atmospheric weight. It does more for the game experience as a whole.

Part of me misses mplayer, where you would sign in, tell it fraglimit, timelimit, map, gamemode, maximum players and go in... usually within a minute others would join. Impromptu servers and matches!
