    I highly recommend these files to change the original sounds of Quake, already present in the download section of this site or in some guides ..

    This is a reinterpretation of the original sounds:



    Higher Frequency Quake wavs (All 44KHz).rar

    There are two paks in this file:
    The first is basically ALL the wavs from the registered version of Quake, resampled to 44.1KHz 16bit samples;
    The second contains certain HIGHER DEFINITION wavs (some at 22KHz, some at 44KHz and some at 16bit definition) from the Quake1 test released by Id months before the demo and final version of the game appeared - the
    author have resampled all of them to run at 44.1KHz.

    I have that file, but the downloads section hasn't been fully rebuilt yet.

    Maybe because part of me doesn't like the organization.

      Hmm weren't these sounds ripped from other commercial games and just resampled at different KHz ?
