  • Reasons for not banning

    Hey.

So there are various reasons why they should not ban.

    Here are some:

    1. one1xolds started the thread of a tournament that was the 4th
most replied thread of all time (for reference, go to http://quakeone.com/forums/quake-tal...ort=replycount ).

    2. the sponsoring of numerous tournaments/leagues for q1, here are some examples:
    http://tqleague.atspace.com
    http://ct4.atspace.com
    http://q1dm.atspace.com

    3. Any recent incidents (such as the ctf or ca incident) involved connecting
more than one client or joining a match once, not intending to crash the server or anything of that nature.

    So in conclusion,
unban the one1xolds account from the forum,
re-open the idea for dm thread (http://quakeone.com/forums/quake-tal...dm-league.html), and
unban from the servers chi.game-host.org and speak.quakeone.com.

The q1dm tournament was involved and antipated by almost all of the quakeone community..and to see it not finish to unveil the winner would be...
    incomplete.

Refer to yourself as Kimp. Your one1xolds name is just another one of your various alias' in which from my records are about 20. Kimp, you need to understand that starting a tourney for fun doesnt mean your cleared of your past actions. You have ran proxy's on the servers and ruined A LOTof games in which pissed a lot, if not all of the quake community off. Your ban needs to stick and you need to find another gaming community to terrorize.

    Answer these questions Kimp.
    1. Who are you, whats your real name and why do you act the way you do?
    2. Are you mentally challenged?
    3. Why have you used bots in games and after being caught, continued?
    4. Why did you impose to be crackdog and send a PM to Rook in order to gain the admin code for hdz?
    5. Do you really think that setting up a tourney (which from what i saw, was never really organized well) is a good excuse to get unbanned?
    6. Why do you flood the servers?
    7. Why do you impose to be people your not in games?
    8. Why do you try to hack the admin codes on the servers?
    9. Why do you connect multiple clients in order to yes a vote?
    10. Why do you continue to make accounts for quakeone.com after being told not to by the administration?
    11. Why do you ruin games?

You need to make yourself more clear as to why you think you shouldn't be banned, I think we would all like to see that and you need to answer the questions of the community that you have been repeatedly asked but choose to ignore.

How about when you connect do DM servers and spam locs? What was your intention? And actually, what was your intention when you were connecting with multiple clients?

Kimp, I was hoping you'd reply. I'm glad you did, but I figured it would have been more sincere with an actual apology.

If you want me to vote to unban you, answer badaims questions. Then, I would opt to have your ban lifted with a 1 strike only policy.

I think kimp has seriously opened mouth and inserted foot enough.

Mindz recommends quitting Quake1 and learning QLive. Looks like a handful of Q1 geniuses have undertaken fixing the loopholes/workarounds that Quake currently has concerning evading ban's really easily.... suffice to say, days are numbered. But as long as your winning the cat and mouse game, good games ahead of us.
ps:stop being a newb fuck too,or your out of gt. fok no more spamming servers, spamming players, spamming forums. Get a grip man, put down your mouse for a few days.

The only good reason for you to not be banned would be if you quit wrecking games.

Running tournaments doesn't matter if at the end of the day you are ruining games.

If you stop ruining games, word will spread and I imagine you will probably get unbanned, but until that day comes ...

Heheh, Kimp gave me his 'number' to call the other day. Out of curiosity, I did. I knew it was a fake when the area code didn't match where he said he was from, but a Mexican guy answered.

You might like to know that a number of others, including me, had gotten no direct response from Kimp after asking him direct questions about his behaviour and changing it. As he had demonstrated the ability to speak directly about what's important to him, he remains unresponsive to questions concerning anything outside his own interests. This means that it may be a good idea to truly cut off all communication with him because he seems only interested in what he immediately wants.

People don't change their behavior. It doesn't happen.

If Kimp happens to "reform" he'll end up getting unbanned eventually. But no one should hold their breath on that one.

If someone is actively ruining games for sport, it doesn't matter if he's organizing tournaments or helping old ladies cross the street.

This site was started on the idea of making the Quake community better and more fun and someone who is ruining play on servers is acting in a manner contrary to the goals of this site.

I don't think answering any specific questions is the solution here. Now, I don't know this guy from Adam, but there are people who's reputations I would stake more than a rusty 5 cent bit on who have opinions, so I trust and believe those people.

This is an opportunity for you (Kimp) to show that you can behave like an adult. Acknowledge what you have done, acknowledge the fact that it has had a detrimental effect on other people, acknowledge that it was a sucky and childish thing to do, acknowledge that a ban was a fair and reasonable response to your behaviour, and acknowledge that you are prepared to take responsibility for the consequences of your own actions.

Then undertake not to do it again. And follow through - don't do it again.
