Trinca's DM Archive @ Quaddicted

Trinca has a ton of maps. And while looking for some maps, I found my way to this site:

I think it is the largest number of Quake DM maps available for download that I have ever seen.

Yeah, at least 2200 DM maps. Every one Trinca has ever run across. It's likely the largest collection of DM maps on the internet. Quaddicted has probably the largest collection of single player maps as well, at least 1500.

Plus he's had others compare lists with his to identify maps he doesn't have. Even wrote an Excel macro to do the compare.

My first encounter with Trinca was when a new guy posted at Rune Central asking for help locating maps. Didn't speak very good English because he's Portuguese.

Then I found out about his map hobbies, that guy is into maps. Knows fascinating things. If you have map questions he knows the answers to about anything.

Spirit has 100 GB (<-- not a typo) of bandwidth.

A few weeks ago, he hosted Quake 1 Complete, a German project with hordes of Quake mods, engines including DarkPlaces, FuhQuake, Soul of Evil, the Quake Retexturing Project, Yellow No. 5's texture pack, JoeQuake, QRack, ....

Anyway one 1 file was 600 MB, the other was 200 MB.

Then rapidly Spirit was down to a mere 9 GB of remaining bandwidth for the month and had to turn off the valve of he would have to pay $$$$ for excess bandwidth surcharge.

(Or something like that).

It will be back online on June 1.
