I don't condone cheating but I do wonder if it even works anymore? It is my understanding that even with a wall hack the server doesn't render anything you can't see at your current field of view?

I've seen a video posted by somebody (Baker?) that looked as if cheating wouldn't work anymore. I think it depends on the server you're using though.

And I don't remember how it works. Since it's most likely the client that draws stuff the only solution I could imagine is to keep the server from sending info on players outside the FOW to the client. (But maybe this would also imply that the server had to determine the FOW of clients - and you can modify it on the client. Ofc the server could assume that all clients set it to max.) If the client knows the location of other players, you could always hack it to draw them I guess.

Maybe somebody could explain it? I'd be interested.

I obv spawned there once the match was over. It happens from time to time.

It looks like a hack at 1st glance,but the double staircase, and the faint line of garbage to the right of the screen makes me think it's a driver error. Or a rendering error while the image is being saved to disk. I have seen cases where a faulty driver screwed up with culling of polygons.. At any rate, anti-wallhack would make this useless. BTW, that's not even ProQuake.

I use ProQuake 99% of the time, and when I don't use ProQuake I use QRack. And we can all agree that's definitely not QRack. If it's not ProQuake, what is it and why?
