Umm....I accidentily typed "connect quakd.shmack.net" and there's a server there!! Can someone please explain this?

I believe <anything invalid>.shmack.net and <anything invalid>.essentrix.net will default to Zop's server quake.essentrix.net aka banana.essentrix.net.
