    I've played some games on bomber.ironrocket.com and it is a great server.

    The server admins are: Phenom and MindfieldzX

    In addition to running custom maps, which CA+ usually crashes on, it's nice that the rocket damage is the standard 120 +/- and not capped at 100.

    The custom maps are available here, although the map selection is NOT finalized due to the server being new and they are play testing new maps.

    Some things I've noticed:

    1. MM2 bug

    2. Server needs the maps loaded, for instance, bmango does not appear to be installed on the server.

    3. The server home page on the intro screen needs updated, after getting the clear from Yellow and Steve ---> http://www.quakeone.com/bomber. That page will indicate who the admins are and have a maps download link and any other information desired (loc files for maps)?

    4. Can't change map when match is in progress. How do you "unmatch" so you can change maps??

    The CAx codebase is in the process of being debugged and it is my understanding that is in progress.

    Even with the occasional glitches as CAx is beta, being able to play with custom maps like Sanity and UltraV is a nice change and the server is a blast to play on.

    I've been contacting Bam almost on a daily basis to work these bugs out for us. Bam really is the one doing all the work on the CAx mod. Thanks Bam!

    Although I did make a modification to the shotgun which makes it 4 times stronger so its a very deadly weapon now and not just against the almost dead players heh.

    the actual bomber website is www.ironrocket.com/~jwoma which won't be anything more then server stats and important files with a few links.

    How do you unmatch you ask? simple type in "abortmatch" and get everyone to vote on it, unless one of the caretakers are around. CAx is a very strong mod that just needs some TLC. I've had more fun on the bomber CAx server then I have had at MAX & ca.clanhdz.com mainly I think because of the customization and free-will feeling of the server.

    the Bomber server is NOT a one trick pony I guarantee you that!. As a matter of fact there's been some talking between MindzX and me about adding a optional hook for the..."hookers"... hehe and possibly even a one to two hit kill for the axe. The ideas are leaking in slowly but they are very good ideas as MindzX and me are taking it slowly and trying to make the decisions we think will keep the Quakers happy and coming back for more.

    To everyone who was complaining about Bomber CAx not having a force option, fuss no more, our beloved Bam has once again graced us with another fantastic fix for CAx.

    I understand that we as human beings always have a notion for curiosity and even at times mayhem, but I did not feel compelled to restrict server access to the ProQuake 3.50 client ultimately meaning you should be able to connect with whatever client you wish! If this becomes an issue with cheating there WILL definitely be a solution promptly enforced. (There goes another one of my invisible threats L3rst3r hehe).

    I am hoping that people can understand and appreciate all the hard work that's been going into this server to get it up to par and to not replace max.essentrix.net, but to accelerate past where max could have gone. Never the less I need not say I am being very lenient with the rules right now and the only information I haven't given out are the access codes to sensitive commands and settings. Other then that you know what I know and I want everyone to understand the clear vision I have in mind for the Bomber server. After all I am sticking my neck out to provide entertainment for others which I absolutely did not have to do.

    Ideas for CAx mod are still open, as I talked about before, MindzX and myself have thrown around the idea of adding a optional hook and I myself would not mind at all if there was a added artefacts/rune options for the Rune Quakers, though I personally do not favour runes, I have no problem with other people enjoying them , after all they are a 'option'.

      Yeah I love the custom levels. Its much better than boring old normal CA. Shotgun= 4x stronger??!! Then its almost as powerful as the RL! Change it back! Change it bacK!

        Yeah, shotgun shouldn't be nearly RL strength, imho. 3x would be ok.

        What about some fresh new messages on-screen, like instead of "Prepare to fight!" something like "Prepare to get owned!" and more interesting and lively messages here and there. Nothing radical. And if you do this, don't change the sounds because everyone that already plays CA has the sounds.

        (And if you DON'T have the CA sounds, those and the RA sounds come bundled with the rocket arena maps installer: download rocket arena maps + sounds 1-click EZ installer )

          I decided to turn down the juice on the Shotgun. The damage has been reduced from 4x damage to 3x damage and its still nice

          I'm expecting a new update for CAx soon hopefully this will mend all the holes in the current mod release. We will have to wait and see, I'm not tryn to force Bam to do anything so hes doing it on his time.

            I just checked it out, and I ping really well there. I think the 3x shotgun is a bad idea. Everyone is just going to keep using SSG underwater. Standard shotgun damage is fine. I have a feeling the majority of people aren't going to like the 3x dmg shotgun. Not sure if i like the idea of changing the rocket damage either, even if it is the official 'correct' damage, i think it's fine how it was at 100 dmg. Those are just my suggestions though.
