        i recorded it at 30fps and half size.. video was over 500megs at 60fps and fullsize.. 150 compared to 500 megs was an easier upload for me, but quality suffers...well for you guys

        1360x768 32bit 8800nvidia gts 1 gig 3.2dual core amd, 2gig ram, ect ect 32inch hd lcd monitor full lighting, effects on high antialiasing 8 anisotropic filter 16 with texture compression everything on max fps varies from 30-74 depending on what your doing

        quake is pretty nice looking actualy LOL

          DarkPlaces is a very advanced engine. Alot of the enhancements require a decent gaming rig. In the past I couldn't get 60fps with modest settings. On my GeForce 8800gtx i get ~150 fps with everything at MAX, and ~500fps with normal settings (including realtime shadows+shadowmapping).
          Basically put, if you can run Halo(pc) or TF2/HL2 you can take full advantage of DarkPlaces. It might be overwhelming for the novice Quaker, but if your bored of 1996 gfx, its definitely worth a look. Not just gfx either. There are a ton of features included that other engines (including Qrack) try to imitate. But for the hardcore purist it may seem overkill.

                  To be honest, I would really have the alpha/beta Quake from 1994/1995 rather than the Quake we have now. I really wish they didn't drop the original project, it just looked better.

                      Yes, that's what Christopher likes about it. More like Heretik/Hexen with better engine. I for myself like the Single Player and Deathmatch Part of Quake, really got not warm with Hexen and Heretic back in the days, maybe i just didn't understand them right. And with Darkplaces Quake really looks brilliant.
