Just wanted to know if anyone knows, if steam's quake 1 that you can buy digitally comes with the original lha archive resource.1 file?
As i was trying to get my resource.1 file off my original disc, but... i guess the disc is too old now, and has crc errors. >_<
As i was going to try, with the original pak0/pak1 files for my linux boot, to see if maybe, the linux proquake client has a size limit error bug or something with the pak files, as i use one pak these days, a pak0.pak which is like 900mbs or something around there, that houses all my maps for 3wave/ra and even some custom dm maps from euro's bigfoot server.
Anyways, please let me know, if not its only ten bux, anyways.
Just was curious, i may look around as i may of backed up my quake cd, but so far not sure if i did.
An i'm also too friggin lazy to search through stacks of cds. heh.
I still can quake in windows, fine and i still can use my pak0.pak to play darkplaces, but i'm still having that graphic issue with the glpro quake on linux, i mean the client loads, but the screens all twitchy, you can't see to play, but you can at least see/type in the console. >_< its when the consoles not down, that you can't see. as its just a bunch of twittering lines, and no GL_ZTRICK 0 doesn't do shit, changing field of views does shit, -notex does shit -no8bit does shit, i'm completely clueless, so i was going to try with the original files, and see if it works.
Anyway let me know, just was curious if anyone knows if steam's copy comes with the resource.1 lha archive .
k~thanks.
