win7 mouse ticks

I tried searching through older posts, but i remember someone saying they had a similar problem. Outside of quake, i have no issues with my mouse. Inside quake, my mouse like "skips"... almost as though my mousepad is dirty and is reflecting the optical laser when it shouldn't be.

But like i said, there are no issues outside of quake, it moves smoothly, no ticks. Wasn't there a simple fix to this some where?

I had the same issue in proquake.

Qrack doesn't have that jitter effect, but its still weird with the moue sometimes.

Moving to directQ fixed ALL my win7 mouse problems.

i figured it out i believe, when i have my desktop/themes on rotation to change ever x seconds, it does, cut it off to 1 wall paper/theme, it goes away.

directQ before i found the fix that rook provided that glitch originally provided in my last thread did fix all problems, but it changed so many config settings i just couldn't stand it...
