Even though I have the original Retail version from back in the day, I bought the Steam version of Quake as I like it records my hours.
Anyways, I have been playing through single player again, including the mission packs. At first I was using Dark Places, but it lags. Then I switched to ProQuake.
Two major bug issues that I have noticed with Mission Pack 1 (Hipnotic).
1) Hip2m3 gold key is missing from the map
2) The final boss model; the bottom half is there, but the top half is not
Using ProQuake GL 4.51 Beta
Note: I know that in at least Version 3.99 of Proquake, these two bugs do not appear. The down side of 3.99 is that it has no mp3 support for the original quake music (so I don't have to use a CD [virtual or real]).
Update: I guess I found a solution. I tried ProQuake GL 4.50, and neither bug is in that version. So chalk this up to being a bug report for 4.51 I guess.
