    In the next month (hopefully) I will have a weapons pack done for Q1 and it's mission packs. I am going to re-do the normal/gloss maps on Ruohis' models in Rygels pack as they are aweful - all the weapons are wrapped in saran(plastic) wrap and I might tweak the Grenade Launcher to hide the Grenade like in the original (think my Multi-Grenade Launcher - except replacing the hazard stripes with black steel)

    Hopefully we can get a pack going. As stated would be awesome if we could get a "Quakeone.com Pack" made. Using much of the content released here. Great if the site could host however sadly something that large will bog the site down if it's getting alot of downloads.

      EXACTLY. Rygel only went half-way for convience though, setting up his pack still required deleting of file's, which if was not done , broke the whole thing. Thats speaking from experience. I wouldn't be so vocal on this subject if it were not a real issue.


      QuakeOne.com is literally BLANKETED with some seriously awesome DarkPlaces updates/addons, but their is so far, no SIMPLIFIED installers/archives, that any newcomer can download,and skip the messy nonsense of setting these things up.

        Getting to the point where you need hosting is the hard part, once your are ready im sure the community will answer the call for a need for hosting,and if not,there are tons of free hosting site's.

          1. Install Quake and extract DarkPlaces build in it
          2. Drop Rygels "High" .pk3 in ID1 folder
          3. Start DarkPlaces.exe

          I dont want to discuss this again.
          It is so easy, has been so easy and will always be so easy.

          "Ultra" package is corrupted. Thats why it doesnt work that way.

          Dont even read Rygels readme.txt inside the .pk3.
          He speaks about deleting files, which is only necessary if you want to play with DPmod extension.
          Nobody needs that. It is not necessary.

          And that is the way how the *NEW* OoPpEe pack will work.
          1,2,3 done.

              Rygel's pack was great - however it's now become dated. QRP has made better textures to completion.
              Monster models and skins have been done
              Effects have been done
              Rotating pickup models rotate again

              it's time for a replacement sometime
