Unfortunately iplog is set up to use a fixed size memory block rather than dynamically allocating memory as required. This means that there has to be some kind of limit set, which needs to be high enough to meet most normal/reasonable requirements but still not too high so that it's not unnecessarily using loads of memory.
-iplog XXXXX just changes the default size of that memory block.
Some day I'm going to drag my own implementation of it kicking and screaming into the 1990s and switch it to dynamic allocation, but that requires untangling the unholy mess that is the rest of the iplog code first, and right now life's too short for that.IT LIVES! http://directq.blogspot.com/
