Polarite, I think this download contains Quake 3 style weapon models for Quake. Check it out. If not, let me know and I'll look around again.

Hmm ,some models look q3 like the shotgun ,rocketlauncher and de grenadelauncher but i think i have seen some nicer one long ago...

they had RL,GL,SNG ,LG ,SH in it.

I'm working on server lists/installers/maps right now, but when I'm done I'll find another one I have.

By the way, Jackhole of GameStatus/Quake1.Net has set up some DNS aliases:

blackhat.quake1.net ---> 217.199.47.2 Blackhat (Europe)
gchq.quake1.net ---> 130.88.201.29 GCHQ
topsid.quake1.net ---> 160.45.32.200

I'm not sure when those will take effect, usually takes a few hours.

I'll get you a nice set of Q3 models when I'm done, it may be several hours, though.

I located the Quake 3 weapons models set.

Unzip into c:\quake\qrack or c:\quake\joequake depending on the client and you'll be in business. They aren't bad.

I think Polarite is hardly the only one who would be interested in trying Quake with some cool Quake 3 weapons models.
