Well I only have an idea of what is going on here and I don't feel I'm concerned (that this has something about me) BUT I should be honnest and say that when I 1st saw Candy playing and when I knew who she was I had the idea to give her a chance... like to play smooth with her (hey I'm a real gentleman in life for real)... that was a stupid idea and did corrected the situation quickly... no mercy.

That being said... I "look" at Candy differently... I mean I do observe how she is playing... and what I see is a new player... not a g.i.r.l.

I decided to have no mercy for Candy in particular because of my own experience at QI... when I play the real bastards, I learn much more quicker (if I think about Kong for example).

And BTW I'm never vulgar... when I say "FOK" or "FOK YOU" or "G.I.R.L.S."... it is just to "trash talK" immitation hehe.

Mark, what can I say yes I prefer friends ...!! And normal trash talk is fine, but I've heard it was more than that. And as for the other part *lol* but you weren't very subtle about it. But I'll take it as a complement. Trust me in the beginning Chris tried to pull that shit with me, until I told him that I can't get better if your just going to half ass it when had matches ( and now I am doing sooo much better at giving him a run for his money lol).

Candy, very cool. I'll chat with Mindzx about it. Also, I have noticed a substantial improvement in your game over the past month.

Candy is like my little Quake sister and Mindz is like my little Quake brother! wait, I think I'm older then them! Either way I respect them both and as for Candy being a female, while I don't give special treatment dew to the fact that you could probably cook, clean, dress, do important paperwork(taxes n such) better then me. So since you're prolly better at that stuff then me (though I cook a MEAN philly steak'n'cheese) don't expect I'm going easy on you!

I go easy on everyone! (even Kong) Its a natural tendency of mine I suppose. Quake's "important" to me but I always keep it in my head that its just a game that I have an attachment to (like that old junker car I can't seem to sell sitting in my backyard!).

Its awesome to see a female Quaker in CAX after so long... The last female Quaker in CAX was Paradi$e *shudder* and was a very narcissistic person even more so then myself!

You're welcome to stay as long as you like! I have always enjoyed Quake'n it up with you and Mindz alike and we need more down to Earth people like you in this community!

Oh wait I should be sleeping I got stuff todo in the morning hah I forgot!

My girlfriend has played a ton of offline Quake, as we've been together for 5 years and she's always wondered why I was sucked into this world of Quake. I have not introduced her to the world of multiplayer for the same reasons Tremor.

And MrsMindz is cool. Kudos on the thread. As you say - you don't really talk in the game so none of us really know what you're thinking. Keep in mind though you're in the CAx world and as foq said, welcome to CAx. You play the only mod that really has ever required administration (90% of that has just been a mute.)

But at the same time, if you never really read what's in the console, you may just miss the mutes altogether and no biggie I recently have done short-mutes to abusers on the server. Gets a bit out of hand so I simply give a quick 10 second mute to let them know "ease back".

And I can't really think of any BIG issues, 1 mute brought an unwarranted thread here because the user was in the wrong and had a tantrum, and there were only 2 other people that I've seen muted period and knew it was warranted.

I'm glad you're here MrsMindz, even though I called you fat and I'm sure maybe you'll forever be bitter about that (or Chris) - I got your back. But perhaps that's why I don't want my GF in Quake, cause we (in game) can be huge dicks. I also have the back of every other player out there weather we get along on a personal level or not.

I do push you to open your eyes up to other mods *cough*3wave*cough*. DM as well has some great company, few and far between you'll find players that make it diffucult to have a good game, but that's with any mod.

As well, the issues you post, have been an ongoing issue for ages, we've always wondered "With so many dickheads, how do we bring new players". The skill levels are either really really good or just basic player, not much in between. Those really really good players that are dicks need to not be

I've been throwin smoke signals that I have a un-nerving distaste for 20minute "NetQuake" (TDM / CTF mods,respectively) I've been advocating NORMAL CTF,which if any of the CTF crowd had common sense, they would SUPPORT the "Pickup" CTF because it's got the same "Constantly moving" arrangement that CAx offers. Makes CTF much more busy (once upon a time,?Hating the PUB CTF could be going 24/7,nonstop. Same as TRINICOM....but,everyone only wants to please themselves!)


Everyone knows Mindz is "king" of the AFK mid-game, and it seems that half the people who'd RATHER see me playing something besides CAx,are some of the same people who excessively give me shit when I can't devote 20 uninterupted minutes,for the most obvious of reasons (kids,neighbors,phones,knocks at door,I gotta piss,I need a drink,I WANNA SMOKE....)

I like CTF the way I played it, and the simple fact is I have turned my back on the whole 20 minute QUAKE variant, it's a fn hinderance to my enjoyment of the game. I've been telling it like it is for awhile now,and when I was being more vocal about CLASSIC CTF I basically got the minority vote,and thats okay.I don't expect people to appease me or stroke my every desire for Quake. I think the DM and CTF crowd look at me with a "shaking the finger" attitude because I'm a perfectly capable Quaker who plays where I'm most comfortable and I enjoy myself the most. I shouldn't be expected to go out of what I consider ENJOYABLE enviroment. CAx can be called a newb mod all day long and I'll just laugh. I have my own personal preference,and being mocked because I allow life to interrupt the 20minute netquake variant simply just demanded that I don't bother with it. I take shit sometimes a bit too serious in terms of reading the txt thrown across my quake screen,but then again I'm a very humble Quake player and to recieve anything but that in return, definately sets the stage to the boycotting of 20minute NQ. Why arrange myself to hear the never ending cries that Mindz went AFK.

Frenzy, honestly I had forgotten about that comment, really I don't care what other people think of the way I look, cmon it's always been "different strokes for different folks" . I usually take it and work out my issues on the field ( shoot the shit out of em and be done with it lol).



As far as reading the console, I try to look for the important things,in a match, and not so much with the idle chit-chat part then skim over it when I can, with time I can only become a stronger player, & on & on. I can see that I have a lot of supporters and have no intentions of going anywhere but up.

All in all no one pushes me to learn anything new, but me, and I'm sure that one day I'll know all the ends and outs, and until then everyone is just with me like me or not. I love quake.

Uh, I'm insecure because I consider gothiccandy & mindz close friends? I fail to see your logic if you're making reference to me in your assumptions.
