    Why is it that r_wateralpha 0 is enable and r_wateralpha 1 is disable for the see thru water stuff?

    i thought 0 was dead and 1 was alive?

    this a typo glitch or has it just always been backwards?

    1 = solid water rendering = normal = solidity factor of 1 ... in otherwords, an alpha factor of 1 (Google for alpha channels)

    0.75 = 75% solid rendering or 25% translucent/transparent.

    0.25 = 25% solid rendering or 75% translucent/transparent.

    0 = 0% solid or 100% translucent. Same as not drawing it.

        Those commands are disabled in CAx, because CAx players are afraid someone will see them underwater. Not that it really matters though, the server has to have vispatched maps for that to work.

          q1Edge has visd kiddy pool

          Seeing an entire body surface in the water VS seeing just a head surface in the water, is complete advantage. It also hammers fps! this applies to non vis'd maps...

          r_novis 1
          r_wateralpha .5

          q1edge, HEHE Woot

            I don't think it's unfair when anyone else can just do r_novis and r_wateralpha. As for "hammering" fps... I don't think so. Not unless you have a computer older than your grandma. Sure it will take away, but losing out on some FPS when you can stay at 400 anyway isn't a big deal.
