ShubQuake Cheat-Free Single Player Engine released!

hell-oh again. tis yuor favrite playr agin with a special anowncement.

a year ago, me and ogro and shub niggurath grew sick and tired of alll the cheeting in single playr quake.

i carry a great news messge from shub niggurath himself/herself (i have never bothred to check and realy do not wanna know).

Dear human maggots:

Today we proudly release ShubQuake, a brand new engine for Quake.

After many years of players generously being allowed to play cheat-free deathmatch games in our realm, a thought occurred to us that it was about time to clean up all the cheating in single player.

On many occasions, I have witnessed unlikely events of human players walking thru walls, somehow giving themselves the lightning gun on maps where that weapon does not exist and the notorious "god mode" hack.

I decided to fix these problems in Quake and restore the integrity of the game.

This new release restores the balance to the game that I always had intended.

ShubQuake features

Removed defective commands:

god
noclip
notarget
give
impulse 9

Removed stupid features:

Thing that electrocutes Chthon (he was always like "wtf?" when Quake came out)
Teleporter on END map (Am I retarded? Why would I have that?)
Quads/Pents/Rings now appear only in deathmatch

Added new features:

Humanoid monsters -- knights, ogres, etc. -- can get weapons/armor too
Able to use axe to make Scrag sandwiches (my favorite, yummy!)
Chthon now has lower half of body
Box of Kleenex on most maps to help Scrags with Scrag-snot problem
Added leashes on Fiends (Ogro always tells me those things have no freaking self-control)

Code clean up:

No more referring to Scrags as "Wizards" (funny inside joke in our dimension, caused Scrags much resentment when asked to do magic tricks)

June 28, 2005 - Added Neosporin artifact at request of some Zombies
July 12, 2005 - Eliminated stupid "save game" feature
August 4, 2005 - Added Been-Gay artifact at request of some Ogres complaining about muscle aches.
August 5, 2005 - Oops, typo ... corrected spelling of Ben-Gay.
August 6, 2005 - Renamed Ben-Gay artifact to Muscle Pain Relief after Ogro complained about Hell Knight teasing.
August 6, 2005 - Deleted Ben-Gay artifact and just gave Ogro gold rune key to supply shack on E2M1 so he can self-serve.
August 7, 2005 - Discontinuing log. Pencil is broke and can barely write. Only pencil sharpener got knocked in lava by stupid fiend.
