  • Quake Darkness Discussion

The default ProQuake brightness is good enough for me. But you really only need that brightness for Multiplayer DM.

I wouldn't mind having the darkness in COOP. Quake was ment to be scary

Some video cards and monitor settings can do that. It used to be a real problem, and still can be if you don't know what to do. Most people know about the -gamma parameter, but not everyone.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

I play Quake the way it was meant to be played. Dark. No graphics enhancements. Just Quake. Sure, I use Darkplaces... but that's for the mod features.

Oh, and let me be the first to say... playing with mono-colored textures is cheating, and you should be drug out into an alley and shot. Quit being a pansy. Your score doesn't mean shit if you can't play Quake the way it was meant to be played.
