Games we played.

We used to play some very dangerous games as kids.
My favorite was "planets"Where we drew a large square in the dirt and divided it up by the number of players with a circle in the middle for the sun.
Each player chose a planet name for his portion of the square and placed its initials in it.
The game play was simple the last person who was hit tossed a stick into the air and began to run away from the square.Whoever's planet the stick landed on had to place his foot on it and yell stop! Picking up the stick the player generally targeted the nearest player and threw the stick at them.
If successful in hitting them they got to take away whatever land could be reached from their planet by drawing a line to mark the new boundary without touching the ground or stepping or touching the loser�s section.
The sun was neutral so could be used by all to stand on.

I played it as a kid with older kids who supplied the knifes. Naturally, kids throwing knives in any direction is a bad idea but alas,it happened.

Red Rover was another dangerous game where someone would charge a line of people linked in arms with the intent of breaking the link and the two links that fail are knocked out.

We used to climb from machine to machine on the farm even when they were running, still do. Also we used to run ramped in the barns and other buildings before almost all of them fell down.

I used to play deathmatch in abandoned warehouses, but with cardboard or whatever industrial material we could find. No nuts or bolts!!
kinda like hide and seek, but when found u joined the search party....
duh abandoned base....

I used to rocket jump to school. I always slept in, so I had to beat the opening bell somehow.

rock wars, its where you have 2 teams or more and you throw rocks at each other across a field and have something to hide behind for safety, then you run over and take their base when they give up if its more than 2 it was more fun cause you could take a base and keep people at your other bases... BB gun wars were alot more fun but you had to buy stuff. like bbs and guns we were stupid tho we never wore anything to protect our eyes and ive took a ricochet bb in the mouth that had to be the oddest thing to ever happen to me.

Rock wars - except we ran around the graveyard and played FFA.

We played CTF with 2 bases in a wooded lot.
We used green pine cones and water balloons with food dye in them somewhat like paintball long before it became popular.We would cut a bike innertube and fasten it between 2 trees for a launcher as well we used pieces of pipe that we stuck in the mud to launch clods at the enemy.

Used to enjoy manhunt and using those not so ripe green oranges to try and down your target while chasing them. Those oranges if thrown hard enough and hit u in the back of the head can knock u out. I think i should have been a pitcher.
