Improved monster AI?

Is there a mod that improves monster AI?

I do not think that each monster should be a Reaper, but at least it would be nice seeing Ogres that actually try to shoot to the player and Fiends that jumps in more ways..

Yes, there are several ones.

Try Entar�s mod one to start with.
I suggest to always visit Chip�s quakewiki page if it comes to mods.
He is an addicted mod collector and the site has tons of additional informations.
Be sure to also check out Spirit�s quaddicted page.

Entar developed this great mod approx. 2 years.
Here is the thread of it over at inside3d.

His final version is V1.5

I sent him an email asking for a copy of IQ1.5 and Entar answered, unfortunately I was unclear about the problem (IQ site is broken) and he just answered to download it there... I send another mail. Lets hope.

(I am not sure I like the new Ogre AI though, if you move irregularly they shoot the pineapples in weird places ...)

Spirit even posted the source for Entar�s mod.
So if you want you can tweak the Ogre�s AI a little bit to match it your likings.
