Favorite SP map?

What is your favorite SP map? Of course if you do not play SP, this thread is not for you.

About me, my favorite is the first one of Unforgiven. It is large with a good number of enemies.
Unforgiven includes other two maps, the second is so and so, the third is nice.

i just want to say i enjoy mp1 over the regular quake.

hmm meh. its nice, but i think its to doom-like, especially the first episode of hypnotic. to techy and such

i love rogue a lot more. castles and caves and lava ftw
and i also looove the egyptian theme of some of the maps of rogue

Think that instead I dislike Rogue: levels are nice theme-wise, but I find them rather dull.
Instead I loved hipnotic.

Well ,if it was worded to "Map I had the most fun playing" , the answer hands down would be ReMakeQuake project. I played a release of E1M1 RMQ and supplied a demo to Baker for the news, and I had immense fun playing that map.

Well, obviously. It Quake is a game, having fun is the point. Best map means greatest fun... no?

Of course fun comes in many ways, breathtaking visuals are one way, exciting gameplay are another et cetera.

RMQ had a wall to explode open, the first time I seen this trick in a Map.

The Tomb of Terror
The Pain Maze

I'd always toyed with the idea of putting together my own personal "best of Quake" episode, including these and a few others. Especially with the ID1 maps being GPL it would be very do-able and very releaseable.

i agree. i guess i like both of the mission packs better. however, i think you should play the original game to better appreciate the mp's.

If I had to put the official maps in order I think it would be: hipnotic, id1, rogue.
