Seems with any mod, we have a pool of adepts.

I want to make a mod, that will merge all aspects of gameplay, not like a used bar of soap, but the BEST of all mods forged into one. That will benefit all players, new and old. Forge new, challenge the elders.

The ability for TDM to support more than 4v4 at a time, ON DM3.

This is the only flaw in Quake1 I see now days. 4v4 Reacharound with lots of VOYEURISM , and that last part is what pisses me off. Who the fuck connects to a server and sole intention is to WATCH Quake "get played".

TDM is officially the most active style of Quake and its taking Quake down the drain with it in the USA NETQUAKE SCENE.

I seem to recall a similar idea along these lines when Baker put forward his Universal server idea but, just to contribute, what I would like to see is a server where you can vote on/off a set of the best weapons from each mod so that players/admins can "fine tune" the server to their liking.

For example, I would like to see a server like Flanders with all the voteable custom maps you can eat, with a "vote-painkeep-weapons" option which would include the updated items such as the Auto-sentries, bear traps, Gravity wells (which were done far better than RuneQuake), Chain Lightening Gun, Bouncing nails, airfist, exploding shells, and of course the can o beans, etc. Now mix that with Vote-DeathMatchPlus-weapons and you can add another layer such as Timed Bombs, BFG9000, Guided Missiles, Homing Missiles, Radio Tag Bombs, Homing Timed Bombs, tripwires, the immensely destructive SuperWeapons, and so on. Do the same for vote-RuneQuakePlus/BDA-weapons (no need for Runequake as either of these far excel the available options there) and you have one very customizable and fun server for which much of the source is already available. It may also bring the mods to a new audience and keep them alive. Similarly, it should have a vote-ffa (or that vote-PerpertualDM3thing for the US players who like it) or similar for when some of the more competitive players are on and they quickly want to reset everything back to the server's default "role".
