getting too many emails in my outlook express, and iphone,
at least my iphone groups the emails together,
perhaps theres an app we can get for team game notifications,
or just keep the email chain strictly for tg's

someone did do a google group, never really took off, chat rooms are always fun, like an irc type chat client for iphone , would be cool to chat about buns

Only one flaw to your messenger way. There will be no log of all the messages and even if there was it would be locally per user. Meaning, there will basically be no (easy) way to record the history of your games or the history of any information that stems from those games.

Pidgin supports logs, the idea behind the TDM mailing list is ; Send out 20 emails to 20 players saying "Hey lets play TDM now, or at 2pm EST" and so forth.

My preference is IRC, but since no one uses that anymore, I suggest going and registering at pentstools.com/forum like smokey suggested. w0lv, lenny, tv, myself, and others are usually idling in there. CD, KT and others frequent the site as well. If you're wanting to get away from the email chain and chat in real time, I'd suggest using that. The more people on it, the more effective it will be.

I think the email chain is great for alerting everyone for upcoming games, but a lot of the guys do use it for simple chatting, so the inbox can become quite full.

Powersword, I thought you would've figured this out by now, but here's a suggestion. Create a separate email for quake and use that. I have a personal email and an email for the dm email chain. It works edfectively as a filter. Or we could just take you off the list and make our world a better place.
