    ChallengeTV required the demo files required to be sent in zip's was what used to be the deal, direct access to .dem files is nice (save and go) but for space, yea ZIP mandatory sounds nice.

    But what would be really nice if a "Uploaded demo was automatically converted / Re-Uploaded to Youtube" but this would be ridiculously stupid awesome and far-fetched !

    Any traffic sent our way helps torwards getting people here to play the merrier.

      The upload would also permit you to enter information about the demo: type of mod, number of players, who played, etc...
      Cbuf_AddText (va("say ZeroQuake GL version 1.10\n"));

        ^^ That.

        You could enter (all fields required ...):

        0. Category: 1 vs. 1, 2 vs 2, 4 vs 4, other.
        1. name of who recorded the demo,
        2. the name of team 1 and the name of team 2 (country of each too)
        3. the mod (DM, CTF, ...)
        4. a description (maybe)
        5. The date.
        6. Ability to download demo obviouslly, # of times downloaded.

        People could rate and comment on it, which I don't think would be necessary but would be nice if somehow possible.

          Did you have to be registered to upload? To Download?

            Well anything we have has to be made by someone, then maintained by someone. And everything here is an all volunteer effort. Case in point, Peg and Polarite maintain the servers list here, which distributes the maintenance of the server list.

                    I'm interested in seeing when and if Solecord can come up with some magic to handle demo upload. He can probably use the downloads module that I believe he wrote himself as a starting point.

                    Still, I know Sole is a busy guy. It would be great if we had a demo upload solution here.

                          I still think it would be better to have our own demo spot
                          Cbuf_AddText (va("say ZeroQuake GL version 1.10\n"));

                              That just means,we can easily source all of those NetQuake demo's from Ch-TV, to our own demo hosting spot.
