Who showed, who hasn't

I have to say with the death of Singed.Net, the player that hasn't registered yet that I would most like to see register here is FOQ-A.

If I'm right, he did the last post prior to DZ shutting down Singed.

The main reason I'd like to see FOQ-A is because he may think he is responsible for Singed.Net going down, but it's not true.

I invited Spooker and Fuzz to register and IHH showed some interest. I hope they end up registering here. I also hope we end up seeing Stephy, Dank and Govt Mule register here to pick up most of the regulars from Singed.

Why shut down your entire site over one person? If they are really that annoying, why not just ban that user?

George said that DZ banned him from the site just before he shut it down.

It's my knowledge that there are more things going on than just that incident - that it wasn't the sole reason why Singed was shut down.

By the way, I see George at FVF all the time lately. He's on fvf.servequake.com a lot as Phat Hat, [FoQ]Hat, or defaultPlayer.

True. I won't say because he asked me not to. Like the quote said, "final straw". George was the main cause.

He may say it was, but no one in their right mind would shut down a Quake server, a photo gallery and 5 years worth of work over a 13 year old named FOQ-A who couldn't use his avatar of choice in a forum.

I used to do this at Wido, and it got me roasted and branded an asshole. There are a handful of really loud losers in this community and unfortunately, someone who actually has the balls to show them the door takes a lot of heat. So you're stuck between a rock and a hard place. With pressure on all sides, sometimes the best answer is to leave.

Diazoild, if you are reading this I just want to say that there *IS* life in Quake after being an admin. Take a break then come back and play! I enjoy playing more than ever now, and it's got a lot to do with *just* being a player.

It's a lot easier to laugh off the dumbasses when your only responsibility is to frag them.

funkify, you were the admin at widomaker? Man, that place was the bomb. Damn i played there so much. That and, before it, mplayer. Miss those old haunts...... Why did you shut it down?

Funkify didn't have anything to do with Widomaker shutting down.

Widomaker Communications, which hosted the server for free for like 8 years, decided to pull the plug on the server in July 2004.
