For me the easiest way to identify a bot is when all of a sudden the "bot" player turns around and locks on a enemy behind them and dead-on shoots them.

Now I can do 180 degree turns too, but it takes me a split second to adjust my aim (if you know what I mean) to the moving target. The bot will be dead on. Now that's something nearly impossible to get shots like that.

    Just my oppinon.

Heh, I do that kind of thing all the time. That is why most people think I bot. (even some of the fairly good RQ players). Mostly it happens only in hook battles, you can see where the opponent's hook is going, and then quickly turn around and shoot the hook ball.

Shaft is a nice skill to have, especially if you rocket someone in the air, you can deal a bit of extra damage by air-shafting them. If you are all-rockets though, you just have to sit and wait for them to fall back down to the ground. Or you can time the shot right and hit them just when they fall back on the ground.

I have to agree with Monster. I can aim at someone dead on and fire the shotty very quickly under a second. Alongside with Monster, I was called a bot a few times (2 years ago on shmack). Monster excells with the Shaft though, which takes more practice. I can never seem to keep my eye on the enemy when I have this big lightning sprite infront of me

        Good observation though Paradise

Air shafting is old news. The new thing (at least what I've heard) is air rocketing, much more efficient, That's a nice feat. air shafting is just like 100% SG eff, very easy to do with a 60- ping.

I never really have been a CA'er, when I had the pak files I mainly think of
Dm3 with the wall hacks, and I was the Rocket launcher watcher in the 4v4 tournies I used...the wall hacks helped immensely (for the month or so I used them) I could see people coming from the mound and spam grenades and rockets perfectly timed. Honestly, I feel sorry for anyone using the pak files for the popular mods these days.

Under a second is different from within about one game frame

obviously I don't have the reactions like a bot, but I think I'm very close which is why I excel with instant damage weapons. My point is we can look like we're just as fast as a bot.
