I recently got the first Quake mission pack, Scourge of Armagon, and I created a cd image of it so I could listen to the soundtracks while playing without putting my cd in the drive. The problem is, it claims that there is no cd in the drive, I'm using GLQuake atm. I tried to use darkplaces but it runs too choppy for me. Is there a way I can get the game to detect my virtual drive, k: and play the soundtracks from there?

Your problem is probably that you arent disabling your actual cd/dvd drive , and it is seeing the actual physical cd/dvd drive before it see's the virtual drive's. I downloaded NFS:MW and I cant run the game unless I disable my physical dvd drive, once I disable it (my computer, right click any drive ,properties, hardware tab, find the drive and highlight it,properties, change it to do not use this device) it runs fine. If this doesnt fix you up email me [email protected] and I'll help you fix this.Want to get into playing Quake again? Click here for the Multiplayer-Startup kit! laissez bon temps rouler!
