    You had to ask
    The mere mention of this individual's name is usually a prelude to a barrage of images. Maybe if we sit here really quietly no-one will notice you said it

    If you do some searches around the forum on that individuals name you should pick up the gist of it but lets be careful how I say this, basically it is alleged that he has been known to try and wreck games/servers and generally be a force for bad in the Quake community. I can't speak from personal experience but there are plenty of individuals who you would normally consider trustworthy who I'm sure would attest to this view

    Kind regards

      Fair enough

      got a question for those reading this who are pretty good when it comes to picking PC parts.

      I'm wanting a semi decent gaming PC that can;

      >Allow me to record/stream my screen whilst playing games. (720 @ 25fps is what I'm hoping to get, any more if fantastic.)

      >Can play near enough any game on the market, doesn't exactly have to be at the highest quality, but it would be nice to be able to play games and not panic and have to edit every config and then some just to play at 10fps. (My processor is a very early dual core, so it struggles with a lot of games.)

      >GPU with 3 active outputs or 2 GPUs with 2 each. (I'm obsessed with monitors, if I can have more than 2 monitors I think my head will implode.)
      "a programming monitor, another programming monitor, a video monitor and a gaming monitor. Life is just too good"

      Although I say this in the way I do because I've never noticed any decline in speed when using multiple monitors, but I've never used more than 2. So advice or a bit of education on how intensive multiple monitors can be is appreciated. (I just follow the law of, if the program is intensive on you cpu, don't expect everything to run as fast. Or if the program is GPU intensive the other monitors might not perform as expected.)

      >If all of this can be put in a micro atx case, then holy damn I'd be in love. I don't mind spending a lot on system cooling, because it's totally be worth it if I can build a system that outputs to more than 3 monitors!

      So yeah, I have no issues building computers, but I can imagine a lot of you have many years more experience than me and might be more familiar with good affordable parts. If what I'm asking isn't cheap, I'll just save. Also, while I'm more fond of intel when it comes to the cpu, I'm not in any way fussed on that.

      Thanks in advance if anybody responds c:

        @multiple monitors

        I'm with you on that. My system only supports 2 but I have found that my tablet suffices as a "3rd monitor". I have a cheap 32 inch flatscreen tv that acts as my second monitor. Ive been thinking about building/buying a rig that will let me turn it 90 degrees.

        I want more vertical space.

          I snagged my 7970 and got Bioshock Infinite , and Crysis 3 through AMD's "Never Settle" , right now they are offering Sniper Elite, Thief, Murdered Soul Suspect Games.

          Just make sure the GPU you purchase sports at minimum 3GB of memory,as this is the minimum standard now days as far as I know.

          Can Legacy Dual-Core CPUs Drive Modern GPUs? - HotHardware is worthy read. I would go by does your dualcore cpu spec's either fall short of their tested dualcore,match the tested dualcore,or is it better than the dualcore in the test.

          When it comes to recording games, I'm pretty sure this is dependant on the HD you're capturing gameplay to.If you go SSD thats good stuff and should be plenty adequate.

          This is where you're really gonna have to do your homework, as modern gpu's have all together abandoned VGA output entirely... typically you'll see 1or2 DVI outputs,1or2 HDMI outputs,and 1 Display port or 1or2 mini Display ports.
          You can always add an adapter though,this can get you around that,but it really depends on what displays you're looking at. I gave zero thought to VGA being out the window,and had to use a DVI->VGA adapter,and I still am lol,on monitor 1. monitor 2 is using DVI->HDMI adapter. Last time I went newegg shopping, the monitors being sold using inputs newer than DVI get expensive,but each videocard will have different offerings on outputs. I have one DVI,one HDMI,and 2 mini-Displayports.

          Although I say this in the way I do because I've never noticed any decline in speed when using multiple monitors, but I've never used more than 2. It isn't how many displays your driving,as most if not all of that will be handled by the GPU upgrade, whether or not your current CPU will suffice is really dependant on what type of dualcore it is(hyperthreading?),and whether or not the game takes advantage of it.... It's truthfully not a simple answer,so many variables are involved.

          Performace : Intel>AMD , Nvidia>AMD
          Price : AMD>Intel , AMD>Nvidia , but I feel I'm being captain obvious here.

          Honestly there is no simple answer,because your choice of hardware will be dictating what other components will or won't work.

          Before you pull the trigger on purchasing new components I can help on locating issues that could crop up BEFORE you purchase them,I've learned the hard way a couple times now,and it hurts the piggy bank horribly when you get all your rig components purchased within your allotted budget,assemble the components only to find out there was some tiny detail that made a big difference. (Like,planning on your new rig absorbing older displays. I had to dig out adapters,which helped,but lets say you buy a huge cpu cooler and get memory sticks that have heatsinks on them and they aren't lowprofile, you could end up only using half the memory because the dimm slots are blocked by huge HSF.

          Will the case door go on correctly if you choose a hulking ass huge cooler (I bought the Thermaltake Frio Overclocking ready,and it's fn huge. I mean,like double almost triple the size of a rubix cube.

          The next gaming rig I build will use an AIO liquid cooling solution,as I am tired of cleaning the dust filter,intake fans = dust took into tower,even with the filter! They are also loud under full load unless you get a fan controller,and even then it's still a pain in the ass monthly. But I'm pretty sure I'll skirt through 2014 past 2015 and not upgrade until 2016.

          OOF,building PC's can deliver a 1-2 punch to both your brain and wallet if you don't examine ever nook and cranny of the choices you make,honestly,homework homework homework and you'll come out on top,getting everything you want, plus some.

          PS4/XboxONE/WiiU all are powerd by AMD, go go gadget mindz be an AMD Fanboy to the MAX!
