I admit it. I never update this damn site. There just isn't anything left to say! Spying isn't what it used to be. TFC and TF are use the same tactics, and there is exactly zero news from TF2. Oh well. At least I still have time to update. Ahem.. Nextwish.. ^_^ One of our correspondants in Britain sent us some help: As a spy, getting into the base is normally done subversively, in the spy kinda way. An alternative is to wait until some reasonable heated battle is going on in heated ground, e.g. the bridge on 2fort, then disguise in your home base. Then, run out towards your enemy, act as if you are dodging away from your own team, zig zagging as you go. Cower behind the nearest enemy HWG or similar, as if you need their protection, e.g. you have just come back from a raid on the base and have low health. Careful, not too close to let them ID you. After the fight subsides, slip away into their base, along with the enemies you hid behind! It also reduces suspicion towards whatever class you are. You could also take the opportunity to knife the nearest slow HWG, while covering behind him. If there is more than one enemy though, you tend to die pretty quick from the others. Submitted by Bloodbath For grouped spy attacks, firstly disguise as a mobile kind of class, maybe a soldier and a medic. Once inside their base, redisguise as a engineer and HWG, to hang around without drawing suspicion, a couple of good defenders. If the spy as a HWG needs to move, dilligent enemies may spot his incredible speed. To fix this, get your partner to shoot you once with the tranq gun, slows you down enough. Do it in a quiet place though, to allow the other person to redisguise. And remember, it wears off quick. Submitted by Bloodbath If you see an enemy recon or something going for your flag while you are at base, change to another light class, maybe a soldier or recon in his team colour, and then follow after him, as if you were intending to capture it. Once you 'realise' that he was about to capture the flag that you were 'going for', follow him out as if you were acting as an escort. Zig zag around to avoid speed differences being noticed. Once in a corridoor somewhere, but in your base still, you should find he is slow enough to knife from behind easily. Submitted by Bloodbath
Ok, well I didn't actually lose my eats, but I did find a new pic of the TF2 Spy! Unfortunately, Valve is still being mum about the whole TF2 thing, so I don't have much info except the pic. Enjoy!
