TFC Results June 15th, 1999 WOLF bites SiGiL
They didn't show up for the match. Clan Dire was there and witnessed them not being there. Talking Goats overrun DiRe
This could have been a very close battle. Unfortunately for DIRE they were 1 short for the 1st round and 2 short for the 2nd round. First Round was on the Talking Goats brand new T1 server. Both Defenses were very strong and gave the offenses alot of grief. Once the goats started capping, DIRE had a hard time establishing their defence again. Both teams had average pings on the goats server. 2nd round was a bit of a different battle. The Goats had alot of computer problems on their end and DIRE lost another player. The Goats Defence only broke once when 3 players got dropped and DIRE got 3 caps. When the Goats Defence got their first cap the flood gates opened and it was cap city from then on. DIRE has some really good players, they just need more dedication from their clan. Kindred disencorporates Hate Inc.
A well fought map. HATE had a great server for R1 and a potent offense bringing in the fury of scouts and meds. there d was pretty solid as well, the soldiers were doing the job by keeping us off thier lifts and out of the loft. they engy had his hands busy trying to keep his gun going.
Our offense came together in the r2 coming away with 5 caps and the defense held strong shutting them out. Cynergy and Buck came through big, bringing in thier rockets to help out the KiN meds. Fooster and Sueto were having hell with thier engy who had a mean emp/pack combo going. Keep watch of this clan. They are gonna be big on the TFC scene.
BlackSun sets on the Necromancers
Had some problems with this one, first they showed with only 4 players, then they asked for a reschedule, to which I reminded them of the 1 day rule. Then they agread to a forfeit and descided that we would give them 3 players and play for fun. 2 minutes left in pre-match, they all of a sudden had 5 players and started asking for it to be a counted match, they where quit rude about it. After geting the comments for a little we decided OK, we will count this, but we would keep our 8 players. Then at about 5 minutes into the match, one of there players claims he is not a real member of [NM] and leaves. They then again claim forfeit. So we ended the match. I have a demo of everything after the match started. I forgot to turn it on when we came into the pre-match. If the guy who claimed he wasn't a member, really wasn't, we are not worried about it. We are just a little bothered with the attitude we recieved even after it was already almost 10 PM and we still agread to have a match. June 14th, 1999 Kindred lights up Army of Darkness
AOD is one of the best clans we have played to date. a well organized group with skilled players who have class. R1 started out on there server with pretty even pings and no problems with prematch or people dropping. the match started out slow but gradually picked up speed. Lanmonkey and Fooster did the majority of the running for KiN. They held us off thier warehouse pretty well in both rounds. Kudos go to thier demoman for blowing our command center twice. they proved to be awesome sports throughout the match. all good fun here. this match was personal however, the loser had to buy beer. KiN would like Shiner Bock please... ;) GG to Army of Darkness!!! Evil Dead defies the Noble Executioners
Round one only went 15mins due to a screw up by myself forgetting to add prematch time in total map time. To make up for this both sides choose to have second round go 45 mins. In the first round we had a few clannies not knowing what they were suppost to be doing, and we had one or two less players than they. In the second round we made a super human come back I can't explain. ][nsurrection buries Grave Diggers
Round 1: Both teams were ready for an epic battle of the undefeateds. Both ][ and GD charged out of their bases ready to do battle. ][ quickly had the upper hand, keeping at least three points capped at a time. What followed was nearly a five minute struggle to capture ][, GD putting up a spectacular defensive stand. After one full capture, ][ was not about to stop there. Another full capture soon followed, and after more back and forth capping, ][ pulled out the 180-68 win. Round 2: ][ moved in for the kill in the second game, quickly scoring two full caps. The morale of GD plummeted, as was evident by their lack of enthusiasm, and negative chatter both to ][ members and each other. ][ stayed professional, ignoring the subtle trash-talk and scoring point after point. ][ finished with an amazing 339 to a disheartened GD's 28. Good game GD, hopefully you won't be so quick to throw in the towel next time. U Suck! overpowers Agression Rangers
Man one of the best battles we had 1st round start off fast and quick with US runners all of the map capping spot and AR's soldier's guarding zones all over the map and pound the runners down but our relentless efforts and trying over and over paid off and we capp'd the zones nicely and over came AR. 2ns round was a new story AR came back with a new plan and they started moving flags real fast and so did we , the battles where fast and hard until US capped all the points but AR was relentless and managed to coem right back and grab all 5 right from under our noses, then the battles came down to huge fights with hwguys guns blarring and pipes and mirvs flying was a fun and great game AR look foward to more meetings with another great sportsmanship and fun playing clan! Coup de Grace slips by Operation Strike Force
Fun match overall, quite close for a canalzone game. Hate Inc. tunes out Total Harmonic Destruction
First round played on their lossy server. No complaints, we played. We kicked their ass. Second map, to be played on HateLife 1 server, and they complained about 2 people having bad pings (not that we didnt have to suffer with several members with similar crappy pings on their server), and was given the option of forfeiture or playing, which I gathered from their first round ass kicking, that the 2nd round would have been just as humiliating. Calling us names because we wanted to play on HateLife1 didn't make your shoes any cleaner either. They would rather forfeit, to say as if the pings were to account for their lack of coordination and winning capacity, than to just shut the hell up and play. Clan Erinyes woops it up with clan Maylstryx
CE played a fun match with cM on Canalzone. Round 1 was on CE's home turf where we had about a 100 ping advantage. We were able to throw cM off their gameplan somewhat and pull away. Round 1 ended 216-90. Round 2 was on the nice cM server with pretty much equal pings for the two teams. cM made some adjustments but so did CE, pulling away early. Round 2 ended 233-79. Playing cM was a very enjoyable time and we look forward to meeting again on the battlefield. NULL plows through Double Wide
NULL wins by forfeit. Clan Double Wide was a no-show. Alpha Gods blow up Elite Cannon Fodder
I am very proud of my clans first victory, Elite Cannon Fodder made a nice effort though. I think everyone of my members played an important roll in the game and we would have lost without them. I have no special play to commerate for I think all played equal. The second game, Elite Cannon Fodder forfeited for they really seemed to dislike the map, I am still confused why they did not keep playing. Anyways I am very happy with my clans attendance and preformance. Low Ping Bastards ride over sportin woodies
June 13th, 1999 Hate Inc. makes a point to Bounty Hunters Guild
A 1 round knock-down drag-out fight. They wanted a piece of Hate Inc & seemed to think that just because we have bad attitudes that we play badly. They found out wrong. SiGiL beats Clan Redundant Clan and wins
Clan [SiGiL] is a new clan and has started out @ the bottom of the ladder as usual. Unfortunately we have to announce a forfeit from our competition [CRC], they just didnt show up. After repeated messaging, no response ever came. The game date and time was setup, and prior to the match date I was trying to arrange a server with [CRC] but received no responses. It is now 10 hours past match time, and I still haven't received any response. Disappointing because we really wanted this game.. all the info can be found @ our website http://www.intriguing.com/sigil check the Battles section to see a Screenshot showing proof, of the no-show. June 11th, 1999 Hate Inc. silences the Talking Goats
Pretty straighforward matchplay, clans evenly scoring early on. Soon enough, Hate defense set in and stopped them early at 2, whilst the able offense capped 19. HateLife was playing quite well, and as for 2fort on their server, hmm, there was much left to be desired. A big fat bagel for the bad guys on that map concludes this episode. June 10th, 1999 NAM Marines push off the Agression Rangers
The match was kicked off with Push, on our server. Pings were a bit high, although that comes with the fury of Push. Our scouts were able to weave their way through =AR=s defense constantly, until they hid the ball in their refresh room for a period of time. =AR= capped once, and NAM capped eleven. The second match was played on their server on The Well. Their soldiers tore up our defense before it was ever functional, and it never got to be fully functional. They kept coming and coming, and it ended up 10 caps them 1 cap us. All in all an outstanding match with =AR=! Look forward to meeting them on the battle fields again! (BTW, Happy 2nd Birth Day =AR=!) June 9th, 1999 Talking Goats discuss their loss to Kindred
The Talking Goats got to play the Clan that shows what sportsmanship is all about. From the get go, Kindred was all over the talking goats. Their offensive and defensive strategies were unlike anything the goats had run into. It was a well oiled machine that must have been running nitrogen instead of gasoline. The Goats enjoyed their many trips to the respawn room as I am sure Kindred enjoyed their many trips to the capture points. Although the goats got their butts kick this was a great match for them as Kindred taught the Goats many leasons in teamplay and strategy. Not once did Kindred shove this in the Goats faces. My hat is off to the great players and sportsmen from Kindred. June 8th, 1999 Creeping Death Clan gets crawled on by Total Harmonic Destruction
Creeping Death Clan played its first ever match on Sunday, June 6th, 1999. The 1st game of the match was on Canal Zone 2. We got off to a fast start and after capturing all 5 territories held the lead for the first half of the game. Total Harmonic Destruction showed their discipline and eventually wore us down and pulled away late. The 2nd game was played on the Well map. After an early defensive struggle, our defenses broke down and [THD] handed us a sound thrashing. Their defense was very impressive. Total Harmonic Destruction played a well disciplined and organized match. If we can emulate their style of play, I am sure we will meet again much higher on the ladder.
June 7th, 1999 Talking Goats practice prematch with Death Squad
Round 1 started on 2fort and it was a defensive struggle which last for 20 minutes till the Goats finally got a cap. Both teams D's were almost unbeatable. Soon after the goats cap Death Squad restarted the match on their server (claimed it was a mistake) As soon as the restart happened Death Squad did a full rush while the Goats were confused by the restart and got a cap. Goats reorganized and got the winning Cap. 2nd Round was The well and again played on their server (to the protest of the goats) The match started out really close but the goats offensive squad took over and got the lead. Again their server restarted (claiming it was only prematch, when there had already been a prematch for that map) again protests from the goats and Death Squad again rushed and got some quick caps, the Goats reorganized and setup a powerful defense while their offense once again capped like mad. Death squad tried a spying offense but only got one cap out of it before the goats caught on. Death Squad has a good clan but needs to clean up their server "problems" and make sure they aren't using that as a strategy when they are losing. ** Scores might not be exact on the well due to server resets. +or- 10. Hate Inc. shares their love for Twilight's Blade
Twilight's Blade is perhaps one of the most underhanded clans we've had the misfortune to play. The game was originally scheduled for Thursday at 8pm. We proceeded to beat the hell out of them on their own 300+ ping for all server & got 6 caps on them to their 2 on us. They were lucky to even get that because 2-3 of our members couldnt connect in time for the match start due to their cable modem server being overwhelmed (they didnt know how to set pre-match either for their server so that didnt help any). After we gave them a sound whooping the game was to move to our server. They refused to play & said they were going to go to the OGL because we HAD to play both rounds on their server. The OGL then ruled we had to continue the game (it should have been ruled a forfeit on their part) & we agreed. It was then set for Saturday at 3pm. They managed to have 3 people show up (I'm surprised it was that many) so we gave them a 20 min grace period to go recruit 5 new clan members. They of course did not & forfeited round 2. June 6th, 1999 Aggression Rangers celebrate against Null
=Aggression Rangers= on their 2nd Birthday had the honor of playing Null in a match up of veteran TF clans. Unfortunately some members of Null have had problems with the last update from Half-Life and they only were able to field 6 players. The 1st round =AR= took advantage and quickly grabbed CP's 2-5, finally grabbing the last CP after about 10 minutes of furious fighting. To their credit Null came back with a vengence and almost turned the tables, holding four CP points and closing the gap at the end. Score 144-89. In the second round =AR= turned to their HeavyWeapon Twins to control the very skillful soldiers Null had fielded at CP 3 in the first round. With sporadic control over CP3 =AR= was able to move foward several times and grab the last CP a number of times to earn the all important 25 point bonus. Props to Null who played hard and not once mentioned the disadvantage they were at nor complained about the server crashes that plagued the start of round 2 before it finally got underway. Score 301-62. =AR= starts its 3rd year with a victory and the knowledge that there is still some fun in TF and some very skilled and honorable clans in TFC. SiGiL discovers Insane Pyros' secret
Unfortunately, clan [IP] has disbanded. This is unfortunate because they never told anyone, not even the leagues they were enlisted in. Well theres not much to say here other than visit [SiGiL]'s web page @ www.intriguing.com/sigil we are still recruiting. GraveDiggers thwart Digital Resurrection
They forfeited the second game because they were outnumbered the first game 8vs5 and we pretty much destroyed them. Coup de Grace narrows Double Wide
Good match, no problems, other than DoubleWide ended up playing short the 2nd round. Clan Erinyes christens a new server against Hate Inc.
RD 1 started on CE's revamped Huggie Changer now running TFC, pings were good all around. Match started with a quick rush for caps and defense setup at all the cp's, again some nice firefights broke out, rd ended 204-86 in favor of CE. RD 2 started on Hate's server but they requested we return to ours so we obliged, again the obligatory quick rush for cps and firefights aplenty, rd ended 205-96 in favor of CE. Final score 409-182 CE. As always Hate put up a good fight and we wish them well in their future matches.
U Suck! whittles away Operation Strike Force
1st game start of with [US] having 8 and OSF with 7, game started off real good with US scrambling for cap zones and holding them while OSF tried to fight us off....I think they need to practice a little more on that map..you gota take control of them before ya hold them down :).......2nd round wel they can back short handed with 5 players after about 10 mins 2 more left, and all i have to say is hates off to you 3 guys that stayed on server and played the rest of the that round and never gave up (btw you 3 players did better than your whole team did that 2nd round scores shows it). ][nsurrection out-punctuates Total Harmonic Destruction
Wow what a match we played these guys in a scrim and knew they were gonna be tough first round was on our server everything started out pretty much even for the first few minutes then we managed to get the ball rolling we capped all there points and from there on in we managed to cap it a few more times leaving us victorious the first round round 2 was on their server which they had to restart due to not enough players so we complied and waited a few restarts then we finally started which we just picked up where we left off capping point after point at that point i decided to spice things up by getting in their base and getting there control center twice...boy was that a fun match and we commend thd for being good sports gg guys look forward to the next one....... clan Malystryx stays alive against the Noble Executioners
Heya
June 3rd, 1999 CE eclipses Black Sun
Black Sun agreed to play on Com's Linux server although some of their cablers had pl, RD 1 started on Rock2 with both teams at 8, some quick scouting pulled out a cap for the CE offense, meanwhile the Blksun o made a valiant effort and got our flag to the courtyard more than once. We exchanged caps with their flag touches and some nice fights broke out in both courtyards but the CE offensive and defensive machines were not to be thwarted. Rd 1 ended 150 (10) - 0 in favor of CE. RD 2 we returned to Coms server at Blksuns request and started with both teams making prob hits with not much success on 2forts. Finally the CE offense got into gear and pulled out several caps, in the last 5 mins or so the Blksun offense snuck in and grabbed the flag getting it to the grid before our defense caught him. Our defense attempted to hold the flag at the grid, while our offense brought in another cap but was unable to hang onto it. Rd 2 ended 6-1 in favor of CE.
We'd like to thank Black Sun for a good game and look forward to playing them again in the future.
June 1st, 1999 U Suck! forcloses on Hate Inc.
1st round was on [US]'s server we start off with a full force run for the caps zones and never let up with
our flag movers rolling over caps zones as hate tried to cover each spot with guards that never let up and kept
beating us down, our persitence paid off with us capping all the zones several time...2nd round was on hate's server which i think
both teams pinged better on ours but it start off with hate running flags as fast as they could and it was holding them a close game
then i think they changed to some heavier classes which didnt pay off with us coming back with a couple all points capped.
was a great game and we had fun. Talking Goats say a few words
The Talking Goats won over Coil by forfeit.
May 31st, 1999 DiRe out-waits T.F.H.
{DiRe} thought that it would be able to once again play against the rare clan that shows up again, but we had no such luck with [T.F.H.]. We were basically all there, except for a few members, but we had more than enough for a match, which is an occurence that happens not so often. We figured that we were all set... now lets wait for the other clan, and get this game on the road. Well, we waited... and waited... and waited some more, and decided that the other clan was way past the time limit. So [T.F.H.] forfeit due to a failure to comply with the rules and regulations of STA-TFC (Time Limit on showing up... 15 min.) So {DiRe} really needed something to do, so we set up a scrimm. with clan [TG] on CZ2. [Edited out scrimmage results....Our policy is not to post those.] So we are ready for any other clans who think they have what it takes to beat us!! KiN notifies SoF's next of kin
One big nasty 1x60 match on cz as per request of the other clan, they forfeited their server by selecting the time limit so we took home server. |
