Ah vacation! Such a wonderful thing! My good thanks to all the well wishes, pleading, and threats to get on with the TFC section at TFCNN! Let's get on with the show!

IGL - RUN!

Uranium 238 does halflife on Maylstryx
Round one: 4 - 5
Round two: 10 - 5
Final Score: 14 - 10
Sunday, bloody Sunday... Sweat dripped down my nose and on to my nailgun, as I inspected my equipment for the 100th time. I glanced across the loading dock to my awaiting squad members. Some of them had never spilt blood with U-238 before, and the odds were that most of them would not be alive in the next 60 minutes (or 60 seconds, for that matter!). Suddenly the comm channel crackled with the gravelly voice of our platoon leader, giving us the OK to commence the attack. Over the next several minutes I watched in stunned disbelief as my teammates were gunned down repeatedly, and cM began capping over, and over, and over. We fought for every inch, but lost in every battle. Finally we were down 0-5 and made some desperate adjustments, and miraculously started gaining ground. By the end of the first round we had cut the deficit to one, and we were heading to our home base...

We sported a substantial ping advantage on our home server. We grabbed a couple of caps early in the round, before cM answered with one of their own and the combat began. Despite our connection advantage, we briefly lost 3 players at one point, and then 2 players just afterwards, but had enough momentum to finish the round 10-5.

And that brings Run! to a happy end. In a bloody sunday that could have ended with either clan on top, we were fortunate to come up ahead against a skilled and classy clan. Thanks for a great match, and showing the new guys in the IGL what a clan should be.

The Kollektiv socializes Brotherhood of Soldiers
Round one: 5 - 4
Round two: 7 - 4
Final Score: 12 - 8
Welcome to Spamfest 99, week 3. This week we had Kollektiv in the Red corner and Brotherhood of Soldiers in the Blue.
After a slight delay, round 1 got going on Kollektiv's KGB Firing Ground; both teams sporting a full roster on the field but Kollektiv was missing it's greal Lone Spy this afternoon. Kollektiv broke out of it's camp with a quick cap to get things going. Then BoS decided to not let that go far and began to match Kollektiv's score and eventually take over the game. Kollektiv was not going down without a fight and came back to take the lead. Both teams swaped caps, finally, down the last few seconds of the game, Kolektiv came up with the last cap of the game, literally at the last second of the game. Round ended with Kollektiv 5 Brotherhood of Soldiers 4. After a quick 10 minute intermission, action resumed on Kollektiv's server since BoS's serverd seemed to have been set at the wrong maxplayers.

Round 2 was a recap of round 1, both teams coming out guns and grenades blazing. Both teams matching caps, then Kollektiv began to grab the lead with a 2 point advantage and held the lead till the end of the round. Kollektiv ended the round with a 7-4 lead over BoS. Some great TFC action took place tonight. Kollektiv gives BoS a thumbs up, and invites them to have a glass of Vodka anytime.

Aggression Rangers reforge Steel Maelstrom
Round one: 16 - 3
Round two: 15 - 4
Final Score: 31 - 7
=AR= and SMS met for the 1st time on MIRV, oops, I mean RUN and once again chaos was the order of the day. 1st round was held on =AR='s Citadel where SMS had a negligible ping advantage. Despite 2 previous losses on RUN we decided to stick with the same plan (which was to show up and play). I practiced for the map by going into a 24 player pub and standing in the middle of the bridge on 2fort to see how many mirvs I could dodge. Anyway, =AR= managed the 1st grab and cap and SMS quickly returned the favor. Gradually =AR= pulled away. Seemed like both clans had the flag an equal amount of time so I'll give some credit to the =AR= flag carriers for sneaking in for the caps inbetween and thru the shite.

Second round was on the Steel Maelstrom (SMS) TFC server where SMS had almost no ping advantage. I don't know how the HPB's cope on this map. SMS had 1 engineer who found about 50 different ways to die. Our HPB's gave up on that class on this map. Editorial: A good TF map supports all classes(usual disclaimers). This round saw, I believe, even more demos/HWguys/pyros than the first. I was tempted to climb a building and watch but duty required I wade into the ocean of mirvs and napalm and try to shoot something. Rae =AR= and [SMS] Polymorph had 70 and 69 kills apiece this round which is a lotta of fraggin for 30 minutes. In the meantime the =AR= carriers found their way home more often than not and more than earned their pay this day. SMS is fairly new to IGL and we hope they stick around. They have a great attitude and we look foward to meeting them again, maybe next time on a TF map........

NULL doesn't slow down for DiRe
Round one: 15 - 0
Round two: 14 - 1
Final Score: 29 - 1Digital Resurrection map = Run final_score = 29-1 round_one_score = 15-0 round_two_score = 14-1 writeup = Round 1 started a bit late due to some connection problems. Last time NULL played DiRe was on darkness many moon ago. Having barely won that meeting we were ready for anything. Round started with no problems and quickly got to killing flag runners. NULL got on a roll early and never looked back. Again the walls tossed in a couple more mirvs and nail grens for good measure.:) After an eternity the round ended messy with many gibbies and NULL up 15-0.

Round 2 was to be played ont he DiRe server but their server admin was out of town. After a bit of figuring out what to do we returned to the NULL server for round 2. Again NULL got off to a quick start. I believe DiRe only had 8 this round tho. DiRe seamed to switchup a couple things and slowed us down a bit. But we eventually got the kinks worked out and started to move flags a bit more often. This round seemed to go a bit more quickly for some reason. Round 2 ended NULL 14- Dire 1. GG DiRe Hope we meet up again soon.

Clan Erinyes ousts Coup de Grace
Round one: 10 - 2
Round two: 5 - 7
Final Score: 15 - 9
RD 1 went to TMAL where ping avg was slightly in favor of CE. RD started with CE getting the first cap and setlling into this new map for us. The CE cap point defenders held their ground while our flag cappers started capping. The CE cappers were able to manage 9 caps by the 25 min mark and the CdG offense pulled their second out around then. In the last 2 mins CE pulled in an additional cap to bring it to 10-2 for rd 1.

RD 2 moved to CdG's server where pings were a little higher but even for the most part. Rd started with CdG pulling the first cap, followed by a second, then CE pulled a cap and we exhcanged a couple throughout the game. RD ended 7-5 in CdG's favor.
Final Score 15-9 CE, as always a very fun game from CdG and both clans commented how spamless it was, which is unusual considering the map.

The Kindred in a close one over 100k D.L.
Round one: 6 - 3
Round two: 4 - 4
Final Score: 10 - 7
100kdl came out to play. KiN having successfully dodged Run! for the past 2 weeks playing CE had to finally come to grips with reality and suck it up. 100k came to play. These guys have what it takes to make an upset happen. Run! is giant killer of a map. If your not ready, prepare to be handed your last beer and sent home. Here is the break down...

R1 - KiN server. KiN had a slight advantage here as far as latency goes. But this proved to me a mute point as 100k came out with weapons blazing. Thier team of medics/scouts had the speed backed up by a nice set of soldiers to bring them to a 3 cap lead early on. KiN took a step back to regroup as the shock settled in. The offense had a big deficit to come back on. KiN medics were able to get the job done with the soldiers cleaning out the cap points. KiN managed to make a comeback with 6 caps to pull out the r1 win.

R2 - 100Kdl server KiN had a slight advantage here as well. But not much as 100k had a well developed plan on this map. The round continued where we left off. 100k once again managed to start an early lead capping out quickly leaving the KiN soldiers wondering what happened. KiN quickly came back to tie it up with the score at 2 all. They managed to get one soon after with kiN matching up at 3. Later in the match after the dock settled down 100k managed to muscle out one and holding that lead for a good while. Late in the match KiN pulled through with the cap to bring it to 4 all. Match ended from there. Leaving both parties exhausted from ...run...ing. oh someone will give me the T!
I would like to say that this clan has come a far ways since its beginnings. They have improved enough to make the big games count. Be on the look out as this clan will make strides, good luck to thier next opponent. You might need it. GG to all. Sueto[KiN]

Six Feet Under digs a hole for mOm
Round one: 16 - 5
Round two: 10 - 9
Final Score: 26 - 14
Round 1 was played on m0m's server, with pretty even pings among both sides. As the match started, -6 quickly ran in, and gained a cap. Pretty soon, limbs and scouts were flying everywhere as soldiers fired their rockets and demomen launched their MIRVS. The match was hectic as everyone was everywhere at once, but in the end, -6 emerged victorious with a 16-5 win.

Round 2 started out much the same way, albeit a few m0m members missing. After a while into the game, -6 steadily built a 10 cap lead, but was kept from capping further due to m0m's soldiers. With a few of -6 members departure from the game, m0m's soldiers secured their flag points and built their score to 9. Much to the relief of -6, gametime ended before m0m got the last cap, ending the match 10-9 in -6's favor. Good game m0m! You all played a great game on a great server, and the match was a blast. Hope to see you on the battlefield sometime soon. --[-6]Macros

Ride The Lightning under V.Y.L.
10/16/99 -=- TotalWar & Push! (cool!)
Round one: 5 - 0
Round two: 1 - 1
Final victor: VYL
Well we started on their server, and again for second match in a row, very unfriendly to RTL. We played anyways of course, and after a 5 to 10 min. stalemate,VYL was able to get a cap and then the floodgates opened. they ended round with 5.

Round two found us in the friendly confides of Clan RTL Inthexis T3 TFC server. We had a much easier time here of course and we played Push, turns out it is one fun and crazy map for a match. Bodies everywhere and just total choas. Vyl got a real quick cap before our defense got set. That was all for them though. After the cap, the ball disappeared for a few minutes, but they brought it back into play soon enough. the rest of the map was basically played in VYL base as RTL had one heck of a rush going. We were finally able to break onto the cap list and tied it up:) from their, total chaos. the map ended in a tie, but I must say that was just about one of the most fun maps that I have played in a match in along time. Thanks for the game VYL. it was great.
