  • Quake HD Darkplaces precache error

So i have an issue when attempting to play Quake for longer than 15 minutes. This is what the issue looks like in-game and once it kicks me from the singleplayer because of said error:

What i get in-game (screenshot taken after getting dropped)

What errors i get AFTER being dropped

I reinstalled everything i needed for it to work, but to no avail. The game itself works fine until it drops me from the game. How can i fix this?

looks to me like you have a very broken progs.dat loaded
    .
are you curious about what all there is out there in terms of HD content for quake?
    > then make sure to check out my 'definitive' HD replacement content thread! <
everything that is out there for quake and both mission-packs, compiled into one massive thread

Ok i can't find a fix. This is very annoying and i can't even find the progs.dat file anywhere even when i re install the game. Do you know how or what i can do to get a fresh one?

What version of quake do you have, steam or CD?
I am like a stray dog, lost in between what I do and what I should do.

Have you tried verifying the game cache?

Delete everything in the quake ID1 folder (except saves if any) and see if anything changes.

Nope, no progs.dat and the error persists.

So when you verify the game cache it never spat out a progs.dat for you?

For some reason no, unless i'm looking in the wrong place for it. Where should it be in? The ID1 folder?

Just remembered that progs.dat is located in PAK0.PAK

                          Delete it.

I actually need the PAK0 and PAK1 files because of the HD Pack i'm using. Quake HD Pack mod - Mod DB

This is the one. However, i just deleted it then verified the files again so i get the PAK0 again. I'll let you know if i fixed my issue.
