It looks like the client-server aren't successfully sending each other the data for some reason. As a result, it isn't an issue that can be resolved with settings in Quake.

Wont disagree on that, but weird is it that on same conn it works with wireless...through the same router...

Actually, using my wireless conn regarding the vista-lag, it got reduced by changing it to 80211g instead of 80211a/c/g.

I've tried Wlanoptimizer and vista anti-lag.
No help either...

I had the same problem too with my wireless laptop on Vista, and I tested all sort off things like diffrend network drivers , Wlanoptimizer and vista anti-lag ,changing from 80211g to a/b/c/ nothing helped...�

Then one day I changed on the router site this setting "80211B" so i can only connect at 11mbps what is still enough to play games on.
The 60sec lag from vista seems to be gone now

Hi Pol.

Actually i changed last evening to same (b) and it seems like it helped. I played all evening and it felt like no lag, allthough i could see the ping switching from 50 to 90-100...weird...but better :d
