That is an impressive site he made. I had similar thoughts when I saw the site yesterday.Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Secondly, bunny hopping is usually referred to as the jumps following the very first strafe jump. During these jumps you release the forward button and are able to gain speed by using various techniques with the mouse direction and left/right strafe.
Bunny hopping is impossible in online NQ as provided ticrate is at default. It is possible in single player, or on your own server.
A single strafe jump followed by subsequent jumps in order to MAINTAIN speed are possible in NQ. These are not harder in NQ. You can get significantly more speed in QW, but the technique is the same.
I define a good strafe jump as a first jump @ 480 or above.
Tactically speaking, the speed of the game does not detract from the tactics. It changes them, they evolve.

You obviously must have "customized" your models with the wrong name, or something ridiculous cause I cannot reproduce this error. I'd like to see a screenshot of this just for the sake of it. Does it happen with normal glquake also?

It's ye old NetQuake vs. Quakeworld argument. They're fun!
You'd have to be familiar with playing multiplayer NQ to compare and contrast.
In NetQuake, unless it is point blank you always have at least a chance to dodge a rocket because you get to see it coming.
Some players like Frenzy step to left and to the right of rockets (and even nails), it's unreal.
There a lot of differences between NetQuake and Quakeworld that Quakeworld-only players don't understand. Probably 6 major ones and 8 minor ones.
Don't worry about, it's just a fun re-occurring topic that ppl love to argue aboutQuakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

Empezar - Maybe were not, the ezQuake I played had silly confetti in the console, defaulted to a skybox thats about as Quake as My Little Pony - which I couldnt directly switch off in the Sky options, I had to change it to Faithful mode which along the way I hit Fastest or something inadvertently and so no gibs showed up and explosions did not bring particles... I have hardly looked at it objectively or thoroughly, but thus far, ezQuake is the worst source port I've used. Not because it is the lowest in quality, but because it could easily be wonderful but wants to default to rather ugly things (I still cannot get past that hideous and inappropriate skybox - and why isnt' there just a Skybox menu option under Simple Skys?)
Hardly objective, hardly thorough, don't claim it to be, but I didn't see any particular reason to use it over glqwcl.exe

the default settings in EZQuake are adressed to a big number of players.. old and new: the old players know how to turn off new gfx if they wish, while the new players like eyecandy in general and don't care about what's quakish and what's not.

In NetQuake, because there is no prediction involved, it's not.Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

"Faithful" preset instead of "Fastest" and you're good to go..

Hence you can get Faithful and Fastest things mixed.
and Faithful preset does exactly what it is supposed to do.. changes every graphic variable to mimic the default QWCL setup.
I hopped into the menu and was merely looking around, only to discover on coming out that apparently scrolling through a list was applying each item on the list. I guess I am just used to things like Apply Changes or Apply Preset.
you can change something by clicking with the cursor on the value or by pressing = or - (numpad + or - respectively)

I'll take a look at the cfgs some time.
Scrolling through the list of presets does, and thats what I was referring to, because in game you cannot see the names of the presets without applying them. Since some apply changes that others don't, and they apply automatically, you can get stacking. Such as Faithful mode without explosion particles or gibs... Since no other presets have values for gibs and particles, you have to go into Options to force gibs back on (Quake without gibs just feels wrong to me), and the explosion particles, all I could find was a console command in the docs. The presets apply things not obviously changeable and they apply without consent.
Granted I don't really have any intention of seriously using ezQuake, but this just struck me as such an odd design decision, the fact that none of the presets appear to be a complete set of variables changed, and the fact that you can't browse the list without applying them all.
