What do you use for Multiplayer?

Usually Darkplaces all the way for me for both single and multiplayer.
Sometimes I'll use DirectQ for multiplayer, it is quite possibly the fastest engine and has very faithful Quake looks.
I have seperate gamedirs for singleplayer (eye candy) and multiplayer in Darkplaces. Alot of the times I'll even play multiplayer with the eyecandy on anyway. DP is very smooth with multiplayer, the mouse movement is spot-on and precise.
Welcome to Quake!Glad you could find your way onto the servers. Try out newdm.quakeone.com sometime for deathmatch...! There are bots running on the server so you can practice up on those

I use a custom hacked joequake on Linux atm. For whatever reasons darkplaces hangs on "connection accepted" and then "timeout" on that very server where joequake (and proquake for example) work.
For those interested in weird things, I took the sound code from quore and stuffed it on joequake's latest source release so I could use joequake with alsa. If anyone is interested I can post a diff.
