I am wondering if any of you know why my uncle is getting this error. We both ran the Dissolusion windows batch file in the quake directory. When I run it, I get the Rogue mod running with the Dark Places engine....looks awesome.
When my uncle runs it, he gets an error that says something about "can't find steam". My steam was up and running and so was his, so why the error? Anyone know?Comment

See if his batch file is the same. Right click and choose edit and see if they are the same.
If he does have Q1 running fine with no errors, he simply could create a shortcut to it, then right click - properties - and after the .exe add in this:
-rogue
or -hipnotic (for mission pack 1)Comment
