Ah, Fixed.. thanks for pointing this out... I was restricting the value to 0 - 4096(didnt consider a "team" would have a negative score)

I would still see some flashing in that e1m1 area, especially when I turn off gl_detail. but I'll give it a try again!

alright, it still didn't work the way I noticed with ezQuake. I just know gl_detail covers it up a little bit. I made a comparison picture of both engines. gl_ztrick 0 is how the ezQuake fix does it as well, except it works to the point where theres practically no visible z-fighting in any map I've played.

I love how thorough LocknLoad is. Players that post that kind of detail and clarity (Scott does that too, for example) sure make life easier.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

                    Hmm, that's some wacky tobaccy...

All Z-fighting issues seem fixed on my end, and at all resolutions. Using custom or standard textures. I assume you are using version 1.83? I suppose I could create a cvar for users to tweak the value of the offset...

                    EDIT:
                    -----
Actually I just loaded up version 1.83(build 1991), and noticed, that version does render some textures still with z-fighting.
My latest build (as u see in the pic) has fixed this for all textures... woot!

                      • Qrack 1.83 crashing

I downloaded Qrack 1.83 yesterday. I can load the menu, but it crashes after several seconds when I try to load a map. Doesn't seem to matter which map. Single player or online. Qrack 1.80 worked fine.

It crashes with or without a command line. I tried Win98 compatibility with no luck.

                        System specs:
                        WinXP
                        Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2 GHz
                        ATI Radeon XPress 200
(also installed a Voodoo3 2k with dual monitor setup, but I'm not running qrack on that)
                        2.5 gigs PC3200 MB/sec

                        Complete specs.

                        • Is there a way to toggle air bubbles in Qrack?

Also, can you use custom textures/skins on the original armor.mdl or do you need a new armor.mdl? If this is not the case is it because nobody has made 24bit skins for the old armor.mdl or is it because it is not possible?

Edit: Does +speed work differenly in Qrack than it does in glpro/glquake? I tried it out today on a whim, and it did exactly what I wanted it to do. But I don't think this is how it worked in the original ID clients.

                              • ohh I actually have a question for R00k. is there a similar command to skygroup on ezquake, where you can list certain skyboxes you want with maps? because that would be ultra cool, especially with awesome mission packs like Travail and its nice skyboxes.
