A link for what? A screenshot?
It seems like my FPS only drops when the background flash occurs. "BF" in console. I can be sitting in one spot and spam "BF" in the console and my fps will drop significantly. Is there a way to disable it?

When I change it in Quake and hit apply it doesn't change it. The game also looks kinda dark and the "gamma" command doesn't change anything. Another minor issue is when alt+tabbing, black boxes surround all the characters on the hud and the textures look pixelated. Are there any command line parameters to fix these issues?
The D3D8 experimental build will get better.

You can get gamma correction in that version using -gamma 0.65 in the command line.

Due to MH's work, the next version of this will be MUCH, MUCH better. Gamma will work, ALT-TAB will be resolved.

I don't know if you'll be able to change the hz. My guess is that you will be able to.

Maybe I'll be productive and release a new D3D8 build in the next hour just so I can say I did something worthwhile today.

/All the credit for the D3D8 builds goes to MH. He's done some awesome work making a way to "rewire" OpenGL 1.2 to Direct3D8.1 API and making it easy.

I thought I could do this super quick but something small is wrong and it crashes on startup. So this means this happens in the morning instead of now.

            What Baker said.

This is currently experimental and unfinished code, so issues can be expected and you should not expect that everything will work cleanly with it's current incarnation.

Look on it as a way to confirm whether or not there are problems with OpenGL on your machine rather than something suitable for general use.

It will get better, of course.

heh, my prob is that glpro 3.5 is smooth as silk in single player mode. but soon as i connect online it gets choppy. no ddg's. just dropped frames i guess. and putting it into windows xp sp2 compatibility mode seems better than xp sp3 mode. go figure.

I tried DirectQ and the directx proquake 400 prototype... they were both as choppy as openlg proquake 4. So far the only clients I've come across that are really playable are glrpo 3.5 and fitzquake
