    Hello BoylerBoi,

    to answer your last question
    how can I convert the .link-files in the .pk3 from the retexturing-project into .tga?
    When you download the amazing QRP Texture pack, you will receive a .zip file.
    In this .zip file you will find a "convert-links.bat" and a "readme.html" file.
    If you would be a Windows user, simply follow the readme.
    But it seems to be, that MAC users canot run .bat files.

    So do the following:
    Open each .link file with your MAC Notepad to see the content.
    Example:
    In the "#04mwat2.link" file you will find the text "#04awater1.tga".
    So simply make a copy from "#04awater1.tga" and rename the copy to "#04mwat2.tga".
    Do this with every .link file.

    Alternatively you can copy the QRP Pack to your Windows Laptop or your friends Windows PC
    and do what the readme.html says.
    The batch file will save you 30 minutes of manual work

        Hey Seven, it's a good idea to REPLACE the rocket inside the PK3., so people will get a full pack...

                Does somebody have the same problem, that there is no music while playing Quake, even if the ID1/sounds/cdtracks/... is there?

                  Correct path must be QUAKE\ID1\sound\cdtracks, not sounds.

                    Actually, with latest Darkplaces release (2010-08-31 beta2), I am getting this error message when I try to load the OGG soundtrack:

                    "OGG_FETCHSOUND: STREAM BUFFER OVERFLOW (22050 SAMPLE FRAMES / 6616)"

                    OGGs are in the right directory, stored within a pk3 file in /id1 subdir. Is OGG support broken in this version maybe?

                      Interesting thing NightFright.

                      ooppee told me the same thing.
                      On my rig, exactly this version runs without errors.
                      I tried the Audio_tracks.pk3 from inkub0�s pack as well as extracted .ogg files in sound\cdtracks.
                      Both ways work fine.

                      Maybe its a config issue ?
                      Try using my config.cfg: here. Maybe it helps somehow....
                      I dont think its a hardware problem.

                        It worked again with Seven's config file. Since I did not find any setting in there related to sound, at least not as far as I could see, I finally realized what might be the problem: I was using a config file from a Darkplaces engine dated back about one year or even two... So what I basically did was simply deleting the file from /id1 dir. And guess what: It worked again. ^^ Should have thought of that earlier, but thanks for sending me into the right direction!

                          I've tried it with Seven's config again, but there's still no music . I don't know how to solve the problem yet...

                            Hello Boylerboi,

                            did you try what NightFright suggested ?
                            Start DP without any config/autoexec in your ID1 folder.
                            DP will create anew one.
                            Hopefully your Quake will have Music afterwards...

                                Here maybe also a little instruction in case you try running the pack as pk3 file:

                                1) Create zipfile with tracks (track02.ogg, track03.ogg, ..., track11.ogg) in sound\cdtracks (NOT including "id1" dir)
                                2) Rename file ending to .pk3
                                3) Put it into \id1 dir (where you have your quake game files)

                                If you made a pk3 already, you might want to check your directories inside the file. If the tracks are in id1\sound\cdtracks AND you have it in id1 dir, you are using actually id1\id1 which cannot work. You would need to repack everything then, otherwise the game cannot find the files.
