indeed. everytime I see this thread in the "recently posted in's" i die a little inside.

This wasn't a bad thread, it was an informative one. But a lot of extra "atmosphere" was brought into the thread that really wasn't necessary.

There isn't anyone at "fault" for that.

Everyone likes Quake and it was an interesting issue to examine with some really interesting historical information mostly presented by MH.

Still, this is one of those threads that would make an "automatic thread closing after X days inactivity" feature seem nice so I'm going to close the thread.

If someone wants to continue this topic they are more than welcome to open a new thread
