Example of what I am meaning to do:
download this zip file it has a ground1_6.tga
now place this texture in:
.../textures/e1m1
now load up e1m1 and go down the lift at the start. The ground should look like it's covered in snow.
However all other maps that have ground1_6 on them also will NOT have the replacement texture. This didn't edit the bsp at all, I simply created a tga, placed it in that folder and done. No need to open the map itself except to get the texture extracted.
