    This does NOT work. b_box models MUST be placed in maps folder.
    And they must have the .bsp ending as well.
    The folder for the skin, only depends on where the .md3 searches it.
    As you know, when you create a .md3 file you must set the location for its skin.
    In Milkshape you do it via "control file". In this control file you say where the md3 file/engine looks for its skin.

    Once I will be home I will check the problem.

    I've done some further investigation too and I found out the same issue seems to affects other mods, like dpmod. There are some threads here on QuakeOne about people having the same issue (not skinned ammo boxes) when using rygel's pack with dpmod.
    I've also opened the PK0.PAK of hipnotic to see if it defines different names in the maps folder for the ammo boxes, but there is nothing of the like. I've also tried putting the ammo.pk3 pack in the hipnotic folder to force it being loaded as last pack (suggested by ooppee) but that didn't work either.
    What's really odd is that it only happens in certain places and not for every single instance of those boxes...
    Maybe it's just a glitch of DarkPlaces after all.

      Hello kingennio,

      I tried to simulate your issue, but could not.
      The ammo boxes are all right in my Quake.

      I recommend the same things I usually do:
      - please use this DP build
      - try to use my config temporary to see if it helps.

      PS: I forgot to mention, that I put the models/skins in the according ID1 subfolders.

        nope! It didnt work either with your config nor the newest build. Could you please specify your exact configuration in your quake sub-folders. I'd really like to solve this it it affects just me.... Thanks

          its the exact same folders as in pk3�s.
          Otherwise the engine could not recognize it:

          You have ID1 inside your QUAKE.
          You have maps, progs, gfx, textures, sound, et. inside your ID1.

          b_boxes must go into maps with .bsp ending (doesnt matter if in md3 or mdl format)
          md3 skins must go into subfolders depending on your md3 config file (as described above), usualy into textures.
          skins for ID1 b_boxes (= QRP) must go into textures.

          Hope it helps you somehow.

          IMPORTANT:
          Start Hipnotic with shortcut:
          darkplaces.exe -hipnotic

            I've tried anything to no avail :-(
            The only thing that works is if I use QRP's new skins. In fact these skins don't redefine the BSP models in maps, but if I use Rygel's or neogenesis' it always gives the same bad result.

            Seven, could you please try if it works with realtime-lighting off? I've noticed that if I set it on it works (like in your pics), but if it'off the shell-box is completely black no matter what other settings. ORP's works fine with either RT-lighting on or off

              Yes, thats causing it. RT World must be activated. Otherwise= black skin.

                      i tried the backpack and it said it was broken...

                      if your using crazybump to do gloss and norms then those models will look

                      better for sure...maybe not perfect but better

                                Since the MP1 Fragger skin pack is not available any more again: Is there a demand for it to be reuploaded?
                                I still have it, and after all, it's the only complete skin pack for MP1 right now, including head gibs and even the spike mine. Downside is that it doesn't match the style of the Reforged project, but it's still better than nothing.
