    I keep getting an error when I use that Reflecting_Overload pack on certain maps...can't do some sort of Seven_Think function and a parse error...should probably bring that up / look for answer in the related thread... Thanks for the reply, though, Seven!

      Hello Primeval,

      Do not worry.
      Please read the 1st sentence in webangels Reflecting_Overload thread.
      She wrote:
      You need SMC and QRP for this pack!!
      That is why you get the "Seven_Think" error.
      You need the "small mod compilation" (= smc) for her pack.

      Or you can of course simply add the necessary QC-code in any other mod.
      Simply use the code inside "lightbeam.qc" and "custom_effects.qc".
      You do not need more.

          i myself use them in combination with a re-pack i made myself, wich only includes the animated and reflecting texture effects without the rest of the effects from the reflecting_overload mod cuz i dont like the other effects like fog and lightbeams from that mod.

          if you'd like to try it, here's a link to the repacked pk3 i made which only includes animated & reflecting textures:
          Reflecting & animated only
          it also includes the neccesary cubemaps

            OK I will. Also I'm doing some adjustments. Will reupload after couple of days.

            After Primeval's note I think it is need to make this pack working without SMC and Reflecting_overload. It is not a problem, I think I'll finish it all before 1st May.

                you're welcome. i personally love the animated and reflecting textures from webangels reflecting_overload mod.

                what she made is amazing and adds to making quake look more alive and real just like these gloss maps by FC, they're part of my standard quake setup, wouldnt wanna play quake without them anymore


                be sure to send thanx to webangel if you like it, she's the one who made all the textures and scripts
                i myself merely repacked it to make the animations&reflections usable without the rest of webangels mod

                      I can't seem to find the typo...Loaded up E4M5 and it said it's in Progs (tarbabyh) but I look through the files and none of them have that typo. Even checked all of my PK3s and still didn't find anything...

                        Another update, now there is ability to work without "reflecting overload" mod (but I still recommend it to anyone).
                        Mod comes with two shader files (first one is to use with "reflecting overload" mod, second is for standalone usage).
                        Also I've finished editing glossmaps for "clean and smooth copper" textures, now all their "plasticness" is eliminated and their gloss look like it actually should - realistic and inconspicuous, eyes see this gloss and do not pay any attention on it, but when you turn the gloss off - you'll miss it

                          I can't download v 1.2. The page after I click the link looks different than your previous downloads ones.
                          Maybe file is not available or you've messed up the link.
                          Quake HD: Embrace the decline and have some guilty pleasure with it, or join a club for monocled gentlemen at quaddicted and play Quake the way it's meant to be played.

                              Thank you for your update and also for the 2 Shadow/negke maps in your other thread. Beeing a great fan of good lighting those are interesting for me. Your screenshots have been very promising already.
