Nothing against you or the others but, so? A forum's administrators stand to be available inside the forum itself, as any statements outside are not directly related (even if the subject matter is the same), and thus are not binding under the forum itself.

I really just think that there are some things that need to be ironed out before administrators start calling users nutsacks.

I did google it. There aren't that many pages about running darkplaces with an FX5500. Plus reading about an old post doesn't give me any context about its value vs. the current cards. I later found out from a friend that an FX5500 isn't what I want (he returned it the same day he bought it) so I purchased something else.

I don't think it is unreasonable to ask about others experiences when a small community and $$ is involved. I didn't have much time to research either. The day after I posted asking about the eVGA FX5500 the $15 rebate expired.
