i wouldnt quite agree. Obviously its better cuz its free but still most people use Microsoft Word (at least in the US), so no matter how much it costs I will always use the standard, because when i email someone a document (for example resumes) I need to know exactly how it'll appear on their screen

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Word comes with Windows.

I will find you... it's only a matter of time.

I hope you're right on that. I always remembered it being on the machines I owned. Then again, I always had Office installed.

UbiWord or OpenOffice Word pretty much do the same Microsoft Word. They're compatible with one another as well. I find OO nicer to use.

Software being free wasn't a factor in my decision. All software if free

in my brief experience of using OpenOffice, I recall that it displayed something about a document slightly different (the page margins or whatever) so that even if you printed it, it wouldnt look the same as if it was printed thru word. I cant have that, at least until most people switch to OpenOffice. This is the economics of a networkable item--each telephone becomes more valuable as more other people get telephones, because if more other people have telephones then if you get a telephone you can contact that many more people with it. *spooker shuts up now*

oh btw, did you get your zip drive yet foqer? only $130.00 drive, to use 100mb discs on! and the discs are $5! awesome eh
